I read this on BBC News and thought I'd post it here. I hadn't heard of the original arrests...or at least, can't remember hearing about it. Bahrain court sentences medics to prison A Bahrain court has sentenced 23 medics to three months in jail each or payment of a fine for their role in last year's pro-democracy protests, officials say. (11-21-12, http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-20433145) Selected quotes: Yikes! "How dare you treat people!" BS, through and through. I'd say "Let me go and send me a bill, bitches." Then I'd spend my time healing from the beating. It's what I do. Amended: "How dare you treat people we don't want you to treat!" Yeah, that would piss off their government lol Well yeah, it's political...and aimed at controlling people (as all government laws do)...but at least some were apparently active in the demonstrations themselves. That said, yeah, it's highly likely others were simply caught in the net thrown and beaten when they objected.
