Former Mont. Teacher Gets 30 Days for Student Rape A former Billings Senior High School teacher who pleaded guilty to raping a 14-year-old student who later killed herself has been sentenced to 30 days in jail by a judge who said the victim was "older than her chronological age" and "as much in control of the situation" as the teacher. District Judge G. Todd Baugh sentenced Stacey Dean Rambold to 15 years in prison for sexual intercourse without consent, with all but 31 days suspended. He gave Rambold credit for one day already served, The Billings Gazette reported ( http://bit.ly/1dmuHZo ). The girl's mother repeatedly screamed, "You people suck!" and stormed out of the courtroom Monday. Rambold, now 54, was charged in October 2008 with three counts of sexual intercourse without consent alleging that he had an ongoing sexual relationship with Cherice Morales, starting the previous year when she was 14. Morales took her own life in February 2010 while the case was pending. http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/mont-teacher-30-days-student-rape-20087517
""We respect the court's sentencing decision. We obviously disagree with it, based on the recommendations my attorneys made, but it appears to be legally permissible," he said." That last part gets me a little riled.
"My" comment? I believe it is your party that has brought the expression into the public lexicon. Don't blame me for quoting YOUR party. View attachment 1949
No, think of some of the vile things YOU have obsessively and perversely twisted into grotesque talking points. You're a pervert and you enjoy every moment of your little game. You're a sad little man that routinely picks at children.
OMG! Teddy, you are so partisan/blaming/"not responsible" that you try to twist this sick judge into a partisan thread. I will not and hopefully the rest of this forum will not oblige your idiocy.
Look who is preaching partisanship! If hypocrisy was a disease, you'd be dead and gone a loooooong time ago and someone else would be cruising around in your wheelchair using up your depends. I'm not saying this rapist is a Republican but I'm sure you guys have his vote. Who else defends rapists?
Oops! My mistake. I guess he was a Republican... "The same year Rambold was hired as a business teacher for Senior High School"

Yeah 30 days is a joke for that. Makes me hope there's a little rural justice after that 30 days is up.
If you actually read the story your so upset about, you'd realize that this scumbag was never convicted of rape due to the suicide death of the victim. He was sentenced to 30 days for missing his court ordered sex-offender treatment program NOT for rape. In other words, the loser lucked out that the kid killed herself. "Baugh said Moralez’s death complicated the county attorney’s ability to prosecute Rambold. After Moralez’s suicide, the prosecution and defense reached an agreement that Rambold would enter sexual-offender treatment. If the former teacher completed treatment and complied with other conditions, the case would have been closed. But Rambold broke terms of the agreement by associating with teens who were his relatives and by becoming sexually involved with an adult, but not notifying authorities. “I think what people are seeing is a sentence for rape of 30 days. Obviously on the face of it, if you look at it that way, it’s crazy,” Baugh said. “No wonder people are upset. I’d be upset, too, if that happened.”"
The prosecution and the defense knew that without the victim to testify, this guy was likely to walk. They got what they could and this guy got away with rape. Heck, even one of the Zimmerman jurors said that he got away with murdering as teenager. Which is actually worse? Now Zimmerman is visiting gun manufacturers and making public appearances with them. Funny the things we choose to be indignant about and the things we don't.
OMG! You are actually trying to excuse what the judge did! You are really that sick. I guess you really felt that rape you watched was not a real problem. BTW;
Your parents must have name you Dick with the foresight of an oracle given what a dick you turned out to be. I made no excuses for the judge or anyone else you dumbass. The fact that the victim committed suicide made prosecuting this pervert next to impossible. Sorry if that is a fact you can't accept especially since you belong to the rape excuse party in the first place not to mention the party of forced ultrasounds for women. If anything, YOU make excuses for rapists by supporting the Right-wing.
Don't tell me you're trying to equate this guy with Zimmerman! Did you forget that Zimmerman had a trial? Did you forget that he was found not guilty?
Oh, but; He was convicted of "sexual intercourse without consent" and sentenced. Now just what part of prosecuting this pervert was next to impossible And I am the one complaining about the penalties given here while you are trying to excuse the judges actions AND your condoning raping drunk college girls. After your exploits, how could you possibly accuse anyone else.
Yeah such a sweet pair. One child murdered and on perjurer. Shellie Zimmerman, George Zimmerman's wife, pleads guilty to misdemeanor perjury in plea deal, report says George Zimmerman and Shellie Zimmerman are seen in pictures released by the Seminole County Sheriff's Office. (CBS) ORLANDO, Fla. --The wife of George Zimmerman, the former neighborhood watch captain acquitted in the Feb. 2012 shooting death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin, pleaded guilty this morning to a misdemeanor charge of perjury in a plea deal, reports the Orlando Sentinel. Shellie Zimmerman was sentenced to serve one year of probation under the deal, designed to avoid a felony conviction, reports the paper. PICTURES: George Zimmerman on trial in death of Fla. teen Shellie Zimmerman was accused of lying during one of her husband's bond hearings last year. She allegedly told a judge that the couple had no money, when they reportedly had received more than $130,000 in donations from internet donors who wanted to aid in her husband's defense. The couple reportedly talked about the donations in recorded phone calls at the Seminole County jail, just days before the bond hearing during which she was accused of lying. Prosecutors alleged the two talked in code during the phone calls, referring to $10 when they meant $10,000, reports the paper. During the calls, George Zimmerman reportedly instructed his wife to transfer funds between various accounts. Court records show that in the days before the bond hearing in June 2012, Shellie Zimmerman transferred $74,000 - broken into eight smaller transfers ranging from $7,500 to $9,990 - from her husband's credit union account to hers. It also shows that $47,000 was transferred from George Zimmerman's account to his sister's in the days before the bond hearing. Amounts of over $10,000 would have been reported to the Internal Revenue Service. Four days after he was released on bond, Shellie Zimmerman transferred more than $85,500 from her account into her husband's account, records show. They also show that the jail recorded George Zimmerman instructing her on a call to "pay off all the bills," including an American Express and Sam's Club card. After Shellie Zimmerman's false statements were discovered, the judge revoked her husband's bail. He was later released on $1 million bond. A felony conviction would have barred Shellie Zimmerman from applying to be a nurse for three years. She was reportedly studying to be a nurse at the time of her arrest. She could have face up to five years in prison. She will also reportedly be required to serve 100 hours of community service under the plea deal. Zimmerman, 29, was acquitted in July on second-degree murder charges in Martin's death. Zimmerman claimed he shot in self-defense after the 17-year-old attacked him. A delay in Zimmerman's arrest prompted protests nationwide, with some claiming Zimmerman racially profiled Martin.
