Anybody really believe that Mueller's report exonerated Trump?

Yeah, me neither. If it did, the report would be all over Fox 24/7 for the next 6 months. The entire GOP is just one corrupt cabal.

Barr is beginning to make it rather obvious that he considers himself not the nation's attorney, but part of Donald Trump's defence team.

As the attorney general, Barr has a mandate to support the head officers of the executive branch, he does have the right to represent Trump in any legal matter.

You would think that if the nonsense you believe was actually true, it might make it into the DoJ Mission Statement. The history of the department doesn't really mention your unique opinion.

    OUR MISSION STATEMENT
To enforce the law and defend the interests of the United States according to the law; to ensure public safety against threats foreign and domestic; to provide federal leadership in preventing and controlling crime; to seek just punishment for those guilty of unlawful behavior; and to ensure fair and impartial administration of justice for all Americans.

    ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Office of the Attorney General was created by the Judiciary Act of 1789 (ch. 20, sec. 35, 1 Stat. 73, 92-93), as a one-person part-time position. The Act specified that the Attorney General was to be "learned in the law," with the duty "to prosecute and conduct all suits in the Supreme Court in which the United States shall be concerned, and to give his advice and opinion upon questions of law when required by the President of the United States, or when requested by the heads of any of the departments, touching any matters that may concern their departments."

However, the workload quickly became too much for one person, necessitating the hiring of several assistants for the Attorney General. As the work steadily increased along with the size of the new nation, private attorneys were retained to work on cases.

By 1870, after the end of the Civil War, the increase in the amount of litigation involving the United States had required the very expensive retention of a large number of private attorneys to handle the workload. A concerned Congress passed the Act to Establish the Department of Justice (ch. 150, 16 Stat. 162), creating "an executive department of the government of the United States" with the Attorney General as its head.

Officially coming into existence on July 1, 1870, the Department of Justice was empowered to handle all criminal prosecutions and civil suits in which the United States had an interest. To assist the Attorney General, the 1870 Act also created the Office of the Solicitor General, who represents the interests of the United States before the U.S. Supreme Court.

The 1870 Act remains the foundation for the Department’s authority, but the structure of the Department of Justice has changed over the years, with the addition of the offices of Deputy Attorney General, Associate Attorney General, and the formation of various components, offices, boards and divisions. From its beginning as a one-man, part-time position, the Department of Justice has evolved into the world's largest law office and the chief enforcer of federal laws.

Thomas Jefferson wrote, “The most sacred of the duties of government [is] to do equal and impartial justice to all its citizens.” This sacred duty remains the guiding principle for the women and men of the U.S. Department of Justice.

"and to ensure fair and impartial administration of justice for all Americans."

Fair justice would involve the representation of a lawyer in court under the law. Trump is a US citizen, which entitles the AG to represent Trump in court.

Well, that stretch seems miles away from the "mandate" you insinuated.

The truth is the the AG is supposed to, and I quote...

"To enforce the law and defend the interests of the United States according to the law;" Not simply defend the guy who appointed him or her.

"...to ensure public safety against threats foreign and domestic;"

"...to provide federal leadership in preventing and controlling crime;" Not covering up crimes for an unlawful would-be dictator.

"...to seek just punishment for those guilty of unlawful behavior;" And the crimes of this guy are substantial.

Finally "...and to ensure fair and impartial administration of justice for all Americans." Your
Criminal-in-Chief does deserve justice; Justice that shines a bright light on his crimes both in office and out of office. He is the most dishonest lying piece of shit to ever occupy the White House.

Do you think calling people shit and cussing around gets your point across any better? I don't value the use of derogatory language. I won't ask you to change your ways because it seems that it won't do anything to change that. Keep on cussing buddy...

Gee Blazer, do you think maybe Joe overlooked something?

Talk about the pots calling the kettles black, as if the prior administration and its cronies atop the DOJ weren't the domestic enemies of the state. Had they not been caught with their hands in the cookie jar, we'd never have known, and the tipping point would have passed us by.

Fortunately, there's time enough to set things straight, and to let them have their due . . .

Absolutely, the Obama administration and executive team committed borderline treason with the attacks during the campaign and during the Trump term. Lets actually investigate the true culprits of this misconstrued attack against the President of the United States.

You know that you two "members", and I mean that in the lewd sense, talk bullshit just to hear the tiny voices in your heads convince yourselves that your opinions are facts. Once you are presented with actual contrary facts, you spew some superficially plausible, but actually wrong rationalization that any 3 grade debate team member would shoot down without breaking a sweat. So, here is your chance to prove me right.

Lets not forget that Eric Holder was the first Attorney General to be held in criminal AND civil contempt, who was the AG under President Obama.

    3rd Grade debate team? Hilarious!

Did you hear somethin' Blazer . . . somethin' inconsequential, or was it incomprhensible. Nah . . . it must've been both.

Yeah, and the fact that we don't have a verifiable source for the statistics provided by @JoeNation

That is why you remain as ignorant as you are. There are countless sources that would corroborate the "statistics" I posted all over the internet. Instead of doing your own search, you disregard what I have posted and and settle comfortably back into your own uninformed echo chamber where you are most comfortable. I can abide ignorance, but cannot abide willful ignorance. The choice you Right-wingnuts always make is that of your own biases, your own prejudices, and your own poorly conceived and articulated opinions. You said that I am not civil. I will concede that point. I am not civil when it comes to people that are willfully ignorant and prefer to remain as such. Good day. Now you're just two circle-jerking members.

P.S. The only inconsistency in my statistics is that Trump is adding more and more to his totals daily.

The inevitable echo chamber circle-jerk of the moron class. No wonder you love Trump. He is one of you, and just for clarification, that is an insult to both.

As long as we're not forgetting, perhaps you forgot how that worked out for Daryl Issa...

In September 2012, after a nineteen-month review, the United States Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General cleared the Attorney General of any wrongdoing with regard to Fast and Furious, stating that there was "no evidence" that Holder knew about the operation before early 2011. The report did cite fourteen lower ranking officials for possible disciplinary action. Holder responded to the internal investigation, saying "It is unfortunate that some were so quick to make baseless accusations before they possessed the facts about these operations – accusations that turned out to be without foundation and that have caused a great deal of unnecessary harm and confusion."

So maybe, just maybe, you might try and "remember" more that just the Right-wing talking-point next time.
