    Oh. My. Lord.

Rudy Giuliani is done. In the Sacha Baron Cohen movie Borat 2 coming out Friday, October 23rd, they just revealed they have Rudy Giuliani in it.

    On camera.

    In a hotel room.

With an actress playing Borat's "15 year old" daughter.

Putting his hand down his pants and touching himself.

As an apparent bribe for the daughter to interview him.

    Wow.

We all know that Sacha Baron Cohen is a prankster and spoof master, so I don’t think you are going to find any “meat” here. If he does it well, and is not too gross, it could fun like “Borat.” His Gaddafi spoof fell apart after the first ten minutes.

Speaking to WABC radio that same month, Giuliani admitted that Baron Cohen was trying to capture him in a “compromising” situation. But when he was asked if he did anything that he might be “regretful” about, he replied, “I don’t think so, I’m trying to remember.”

In Giuliani’s telling, he was answering questions on camera from a female reporter when they were abruptly interrupted. “This person comes in yelling and screaming, and I thought this must be a scam or a shakedown, so I reported it to the police. He then ran away,” the former New York City mayor and current personal lawyer for President Trump said. “I only later realized it must have been Sacha Baron Cohen. I thought about all the people he previously fooled and I felt good about myself because he didn’t get me.”

After watching the film, it becomes abundantly clear that Baron Cohen most certainly did “get” Giuliani.

Sasha Baron Cohen, while he admittedly can be funny, is a base, depraved individual, who makes money tearing the skin off the backs of others. He has the talent to make people laugh without doing so but, like so many others in his industry, pervertedly derives satisfaction from victimizing others.

More importantly, the primary purpose of the Giuliani segment was obviously not to be funny, as any laugh-inducing moments in the segment are far less frequent than in his other work. It is, emphatically, a political hit job.

Whether Giuliani was innocently tucking in his shirt or had other plans is not obvious to me, as Cohen burst onto the scene almost immediately. His premature self-emasculation interrupted what might otherwise have been revealing to either argument. After all, one cannot plausibly tuck one's shirt in forever. Because his entrance was too early, we'll never know.

That point aside, men are dogs, and women know it.

Had the tart in the film been my daughter, I'd have asked, "What in the world were you thinking?" I know she was an actress, and not Cohen's daughter, but that's beside the point.

Any woman who gives a guy a book had better know what it says, and it if it contains content like that one did, she'd have to think the guy across from her was brain-dead to not respond as most dogs would, unless that guy was either married, or of exceptionally strong moral character if single.

The same goes for having a drink alone with a guy, and then inviting him to go have another drink in the bedroom.

Cohen was careful to plant plausible deniability all over this piece . . .

The book was a gift from her father, so presumably, she might not have looked inside . . .

The interviewer's haphazard removal of the microphone from Giuliani was an especially clever touch, her pulling his shirt out of his pants so that he'd have to tuck it back in. Two details they overlooked with this element probably robbed them of some of the effect they sought:
    1. Presumably, since she conducted the interview, and was not the sound technician, why was it her part in the act to remove the microphone at all?
    2. If Giuliani's intentions were not innocent, why bother tucking the shirt back in at all?
Yes, very cleverly structured to tempt Rudy, but truly, Sasha Baron Cohen caught himself in the act.

would you leave Rudy alone with your teenage daughter? Also, he's a drunk

She's no longer a teenager but, yes, I would.

By all credible accounts, Rudy's a social drinker, and not an alcoholic.

Two strikes . . . take another swing.
