AOC The Capitalist??

I had to laugh.... Today the AOC "merchandising" site was pointed out to me. You too can own an official AOC "Tax The Rich" shirt for only $58.00!! Who makes these things? Ralph Lauren?? Seriously?? This youngster can preach to me about making my living through capitalism while she markets overpriced crap like this? Am I seriously the only person that can see the gross hypocrisy these people routinely spout? It started with Al Gore preaching to me about my carbon footprint while he boarded his airplane to fly to his estate that I am sure has no carbon footprint at all.... I swear I feel as though I am the only person that sees this in your face hypocrisy from the left. Let's all raise our right hands now... Hail AOC... Hail AOC... Hail AOC.... Jeez.

 

Hypocrisy isn't AOC's only liberal bright spot . . . She's as dumb as a clay brick too.

Economics was one of her majors in college, and her grasp of macroeconomics falls short of that of my long dead dog.

 

The counter argument here is that the sweatshirt actually was made in America. That's what they cost when you don't use slave labor.

 

It’s the hypocrisy that is so in my face here. She openly uses capitalism to pad her own coffers while she snubs her nose at folks like me that have built successful business concerns buying low and selling high..... I had a high school teacher lecture me in the parking lot of my school about the hazards of smoking. All the while he was smoking himself. That one incident probably had more to do with me becoming entrenched as a young smoker than any one thing.

These are the same people that want to defund police while they have personal security details escorting them to their gated communities. The same people that want to shove government mandated low quality healthcare while they enjoy their private high quality healthcare..... I am just a bit fed up with the ultra lefts “do as I say-not as I do” attitude. Mind you, I don’t exclude any politician from playing to his crowd, but the hypocrisy displayed over and over again by these spoon fed liberals just floors me. And somehow it seems to play just fine to their audience. I just don’t get it.

 

I think that as a woman of color, when AOC speaks truth to power, the hairs on the necks of republicans stand straight up with livid indignation at the thought, the very thought, of someone of her social class daring to voice her opinions of the system that has long held people like her in their places. I love that she is so adept at trolling them. It works every time.

The whole woman of color speaking truth thing just don’t play with me. I got a woman of color in my house. Her words (and very plentiful words at that) hold just as much merit as mine..... That is a ploy much overused by the left to keep human beings in the belief that they are downtrodden by us manipulative Caucasian folks. It keeps them satisfied Democratic voters.

In all seriousness, this is a slap in the face by AOC. How can she wage war on capitalism while she fully partakes in it? Is her capitalism acceptable simply because she is a woman? My capitalism is bad because I am a Caucasian man? Where does the bigotry lie in that I have to ask?

Yes, I have a black friend so I am not going to jump onboard with anyone making racists jokes. How many times does this poor rationalization really work? You can be married to a black person and still have racist ideologies. It certainly isn't unheard of. My opinion, feel free to disagree all you want.

It is also silly to think that someone that lives within a system that denigrates people like her can't have issues with system. As a woman of color, she faces all the same social insults as any other woman of color faces. Many, many people in this society simply see skin color, they don't see he political achievements. Colin Powell spoke about the times he was treated badly just for being in public while being black. You'll never convince me that just because AOC or any other person of a minority class ever reaches high enough to overcome the inherent bigotry and racism this country is full of.

 

Here’s a shocking realization..... Is AOC black? I thought she was maybe of Latino heritage.... But then I don’t use that as my foundation to draw my conclusions of folks. Regardless, my criticism of her has nothing at all to do with her heritage. It has everything to do with her openly hypocritical actions. My observation is that hypocrisy seems to be reasonable and acceptable provided you are of a particular political persuasion. I have witnessed it displayed by the left since the days of Al Gore and it blossoms in full view still today. Why not call it what it is? Blatant in your face hypocrisy.

U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is searching for tutors in New York City to help with her new Homework Helpers Program.

Late last month, New York City controversially closed public schools again because of the rising COVID-19 infection rate. Ocasio-Cortez decided to step in and create the Homework Helpers Program for students in her congressional district, which includes the eastern part of The Bronx, part of north-central Queens, and Rikers Island.

According to Parents, the congresswoman ran the pilot program for four weeks which helped 100 students living in the Throggs Neck neighborhood of The Bronx. Ocasio-Cortez said the larger program hopes to serve about 1,000 students in the 2020-2021 school year.

“It was important for our community to step in and do what we do best, which is to empower and organize local families and leverage our robust volunteer base," she told Parents. "As elected officials, we should step in to support our constituents when systems fail to do so."

She has now decided to expand the program so that any student in New York's 14th congressional district could have access to one hour of free virtual homework help each week.

 

All the bickering aside. Can anyone expound on why blatant hypocrisy when put on full display by a liberal democrat receives a full pass?

 

Please explain your take on this "hypocrisy". I'm not sure what exactly you are referring to.
