I think it's simply time to go back to some tried and true tactics which have been very effective in the past, oh 2000 years, really only 70-80-90 generations for many of us. Most here can claim a a good bit of Celtic Blood and one fascinating aspect of being a Celt was the battle tactic/habit of taking the heads of the vanquished enemies.

I can guarantee that if this practice were instituted you would see the likes of al-quaida melt before your very eyes.

Remember, they want to destroy us...

Yeah, if you weren't paying attention to the points made about history and the erroneous conclusion drawn from them. Like I said, historical facts don’t lend current opinions any credibility unless you aren’t paying attention to the “logical” leaps. Most people here don’t. Welcome to the majority my friend.

Are you saying this out of bravado or do you actually believe that a civilized society should resort to barbarism to make it’s point? I really can’t tell from your post.

The latter and I'm very serious. When in Rome do as the Romans, an Eye for an Eye, Do Unto Others as They Would Do Unto You, etc... Personally, I'm so sick and tired of the Political Correctness debate and constraints which have shackled our troops in this military action.

If you're student of history and you said you were refer to the Camulodunum debacle when the Roman Army tried to appease the masses who had joined Boudicca.

I don't think it has anything to do with political correctness as much as it has to do with human decency and setting an example that less civilized societies can emulate instead of us emulating those that we think of as barbarous. Doing the right thing isn't always easy and can actually cost many lives in the process but doing the wrong thing is going to cost many more lives in the long run by far.
I know this isn’t the answer that gets your testosterone going but it does make the most sense and I think there is already a good chance of getting testosterone poisoning just reading some of these opinions. Look at jwevans post for an example. Rabid dog on steroids.

The Radical Muslim is a very superstitions fellow. One who believes in Genies, Sorcerers, and Evil Spirits.

Moen, I've been there and seen their tactics, seen their cowardice, and seen their eyes. Barbarism (as you've used it) is a relative term. Isn't it barbarous to blow the enemy to bits with bombs and bullets and leave the remains for the dogs to eat. This is going to be a KILLING war that is going to last a LONG TIME. I'm simply offering an effective option which would curtail the guerrilla insurgency dead in it's tracks.

The ancient Celts would attach the head (when in battle) to the chariot with leather thongs and two holes thru the skull. The rest of the time the head would reside in a container covered with cedar oil. It was a very effective deterrent to those who would ponder taking up arms against them...

In order to stop this movement ALL options must be on the table for as sure as the sun will come up in the morning there will be areas in the world where freedom of life, liberty, religion, and the pursuit of happiness will be stymied by those who follow a radical ideology. Now you know my thoughts. Expel all the imbedded reporters and let the soldiers do what they have to do and in any method...

I believe that you believe what you are saying. I just have to ask how you reconcile this belief with your espoused Christian beliefs? I'm not trying to change the subject, I just can't understand how one can be both a Christian and believe in all that stuff set forth in the bible and also advocate for such horrific acts of inhumanity to other human beings? Regardless of what they do, they are all Gods children after all.

If I understand your cryptic response, it seems that serial-Christianity rules the day. Believe when you feel like it and forget about when it isn't convenient, interesting personal philosophy. God must be a very forgiving being.

Moen's tactic is quite evident when you read his last couple of posts...

Appeasers and apologists of islam like Moen are trying to bring other religions (especially Christianity) down to the shameful level of Islam is one of the most popular strategies of muslim apologists when confronted with the spectacle of islamic violence.

Remember Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber? Why pick on Islam if other religions have the same problems?

    The Truth: Because they don’t.

Regardless of what his birth certificate may or may not have said, Timothy McVeigh was not a religious man. At no time did he credit his deeds to religion, quote Bible verses, or claim that he killed for God.

The so-called “members of other faiths” alluded to by muslims and their apologists like Moen are nearly always just nominal members who have no active involvement. They are neither inspired by, nor do they credit religion as muslim terrorists do, and this is what makes it a very different matter.

Islam is associated with islamic terrorism because that is the association that the islamic terrorists themselves choose to make.

Muslim apologists/appeasers like Moen who compare crime committed by people who happen to be nominal members of other religions to religious terror committed explicitly in the name of Islam are comparing apples to oranges.

Yes, some of the abortion clinic bombers were religious (as many muslims and their apologists enjoy pointing out), but consider the scope of the problem. There were five deadly attacks over a 35 year period in the U.S. Seven people died. This is an average of one death every five years.

By contrast, Islamic terrorists have staged over 9,500 deadly attacks in just the years following September 11th, 2001.

If one goes back to 1971, when muslim armies in Bangladesh began the mass slaughter of Hindus, through the years of Jihad in the Sudan, Kashmir and Algeria, and the present-day Sunni-Shia violence in Iraq, the number of innocents killed in the name of Islam probably exceeds six million over this same period.

FACT: In the last six years, there have been perhaps a dozen or so religiously-inspired killings by people of all other faiths combined. No other religion produces the killing sprees that Islam does nearly every day of the year.

FACT: Neither do they have verses in their holy texts that arguably support it. Nor do they have large groups across the globe dedicated to the mass murder of people who worship a different god.

Muslims and their apologists like Moen may like to pretend that other religions are just as subject to "misinterpretation" as is their “perfect” one, but the reality speaks of something far worse.

Remember...their terrorist prophet mohammad preached “No compulsion in religion.” Look it up! (Koran, Verse 2:256)

You think I haven't heard before apologists of islam trying to demonize Christianity down to the terrorist level of islam?? Oh please!

OOPS, made a mistake. I forgot those topics; Armageddon and Revelation...

just like dropping the Atomic Bomb, fighting on the he enemies level will win this war a lot faster than what we're doing now. It would only take one Jihadist's head on a pike or hanging from the barrel of an M1 Abrams Tank to get the word out that Uncle Sam has quite playing...

I had to get rid of:

"I rather be conservative nut job than a liberal with no nuts and no job" becuase it offended the likes of your appeasing, apologist liberals...who complained to CT.

    Boo - Hoo - Hoo

Nice attempt trying to distract from the argument at hand...what's the matter? FACTS too hard for you to swallow?

This is why liberal talk radio FAILS. If liberals can't support their argument with facts and references, then they FAIL and who wants to listen to a failing loser??

Nice try! So...are you really going to try to drag down Christianity to the levels of the worse religion on the face of this Earth in order to make you look like you know what you are talking about??

Well, as usual, that actually isn't true. I'll let you in on a little secret that will make your day. You didn't have to get rid of your silly little saying. You can have one signature line for this area and one for the coin discussion area, not that you ever make it up there. Nobody complained about it as you assumed, it was, if I had to guess, Doug’s doing. He eliminated one of my political statements also but never said anything about it until I put it back. Then he got rather high and mighty about the issue and went all medieval on me when I questioned whether or not having something in my signature line constituted discussing politics in the coin discussion area. Anyway, the long and the short of it is that your assumptions once again bring you to false conclusions. So what else is new?

It isn't that Liberal talk radio fails and justifies your conclusions as to why, far from it, Right wing radio shows are just succeeding because there is a large population of yokels like yourself that need to be told what to think while Liberal audiences make up their own minds. As a Liberal, I don't need some radio entertainer to tell me what I should think. It is just entertainment, these DJ’s don’t have and credentials that would make them authorities on any subjects. It’s just their opinions flavored with a heavy dose of audience polling so that they can maintain the highest possible audience shares. At least I recognize the inherent bias that panders to the dim-witted audiences strictly for rating purposes and not out of any moral superiority. I've seen you and others here use the silly argument that Right wing radio is the most popular because of its message. It doesn't surprise me that you believe this as a member of the dim-witted cohort you inhabit.

As far as Christianity and Islam goes, no real difference in my eyes. Anybody who believes that God is on their side and uses that idea to justify killing innocent people, bomb foreign countries, or brings the world to the brink of destruction, ought to be loaded into rusty soviet era rockets and slingshotted into the sun with giant rubber bands in my opinion.

At no point did I try to change the subject of the argument either. You seem to be the one that can’t address my assertion that you do nothing but throw out some well-known historical fact, or general demographic numbers and then proceed to associate your opinions with them as if they lend your personal biased opinions some sort of credibility. You don’t seem to be willing or able to refute this charge accept to fall back on more stereotyping, labeling, name calling, and your tried and true generalizations. If you’ll notice, I didn’t have to associate you with all other Right wing nut jobs to make the case. I simply used your own words. I didn’t have to call you names, I didn’t have to label you, I didn’t have to use big red words, I didn’t have to use lots and lots of large text. I clearly pointed out what was my opinion and you can’t refute any of it so off you go onto your next rant.

Your problem is that you embed your own biased opinion into what you call facts so well that you can’t even see the difference. Well, I can and I am not buying into your personal self-delusion. I have no intention of becoming one of those dim-witted Rush Limbaugh audience cohort members anytime soon. You keep letting Rush tell you what to think. He could use the ratings.

So you really believe that Christianity is just as dangerous as Islam?

I'll ask again...So...are you really going to try to drag down Christianity to the levels of the worse religion on the face of this Earth in order to make you look like you know what you are talking about??

Good luck trying to prove that...

Good luck showing how many Christians have killed in the name of Jesus or what has been written in the Bible is driving Christians today to commit mass murder.

Good luck trying to prove Islam is a peaceful religion.

As for Rush...he is just speaking what many of us ALREADY believed. After years of listening to NPR, ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN, it was refreshing to hear a person speak of what I ALREADY believed. Hence the reason why he and other conservative talk shows are popular because conservatism is based on history, rational and logic...something you will never hear from liberals because they are too busy promoting class warfare (at the expense of evil white business people) and keeping their followers totally dependent on the government for their existence.

Want a decent wage? Don't worry...Hillary will take care of you!
Want healthcare? Don't worry...Hillary will take care of you!
Want a job? Don't worry...Hillary will take care of you
Want new schools? Don't worry...Hillary will take care of you!

Don't worry! Be Happy! Hillary will spend everybody ELSE's money for the dead beats that will put her, and keep her in power!

How much will it cost? Don't worry...Hillary will take care of that too!

Just slogans and opinions, never really any facts as you constantly say. You have your personal opinions and I have mine. The difference is that I know the difference between the two and you are just as clueless as you were coming in. I completely understand what it is you believe, I just can’t delude myself into believing your opinions are facts, whereas you seem pretty adept at doing so.
Closed minds look for easy answers and black and white solutions. A closed mind will try to fit whatever it can into its narrow frame of reference. A closed mind ignores information that doesn’t neatly fit into it view of the world. A closed mind must attach its limited number of labels to even relatively diverse concepts. A closed mind is frightened by a disorderly world. A closed mind must have strong opinions lest doubt creeps into its world. To a closed mind the concept of life-long learning is analogous to anarchy. A closed mind is a lonely existence and must superficially reach out to others only to snap back into solitude when the world starts to get too confusing and it always gets too confusing.
Maybe you see some similarities to yourself here but that would require some bit of introspection which doesn’t seem very likely in your case. No skin off of my nose.
