Not all of us that choose to begin our life in service to our nation rather than spend it in the classroom are arrogant morons. We are regular contributors to our neighborhoods and our nation. It's a very unfair comment on your part. Formal education does not a man make. Actions and character define a man and if that truly is your viewpoint on young men and women that serve our nation, you are very sadly mistaken.

You really believe some high school dropout enlistee is the intellectual equal of any person with an advanced degree? Based on what, your personal experience decades ago? You just come off as someone defending your brothers beyond all reason. Not a persuasive approach.

 

Not all knowledge is gleaned from the classroom. I never attended a business school yet I have a pretty sharp business acumen. And yes, there is part of me that will defend my brothers.... Within reason. I found your comment to be all inclusive and it is a serious misnomer.

You said that you had a mentor. Did you believe for some reason that this mentor wasn't teaching you the ropes? That you some how just knew everything already? You belittle his experience, his confidence in you, and the time he took to teach you the trade by hogging all of the credit for yourself. Shame on you.
