I think you are terribly misguided in your presumption that I alone am trying to bring you to your senses. Regarding the ruinous state of arrogance, I’m probably half as close as you are.
Superior? That’s a poorly chosen word. Here you are, cherry-picking examples in the thread, and suddenly changing tracks when that’s pointed out, rather than answering to it. Defend your position, and stop with the deflecting BS. Superior? Where do you get off using a word like that? Is it just routine for you?
Would I have to sit through the video? No thanks. If I wanted to listen to mawkish drivel, I would tune into the Andy Griffith Show. Does this stuff actually inspire you in some way?
It inspires me a lot. Why? Because it makes a whole lot more sense to look back on what we know works than to look forward to stuff we know won’t.
I understand how opera might be too “high-brow” for you and you might not understand the intricate weaving of the story-telling. But country music? I don’t see how anyone could not like music that comes directly from the heart of America. But, to each his own I suppose. Personally, I enjoy every genre of music. Everything from opera to jazz, country, rock, blues, Americana, ragtime, rap, techno… you name it. Maybe you just don’t have an ear for certain music. I don’t mean that offensively, just sayin’. Maybe give opera and country a new listen and you might discover things you’ve never heard before.
Hhhhmmmmm….. Wonder which group will find their way to the therapists office first? The boys that prayed? Or maybe those that had gender confusion imposed on them?
Probably the ones that had religion imposed on them at a very vulnerable age that tells them being gay is a sin. That tells them they will go to hell for any number of dogma inspired indiscretions or unholy behaviors. Perhaps the ones molested by the church leaders or the ones told that they are wicked and evil. Who knows? The therapists is my guess.
