I posted that as a headline because I knew it would make our friends on the lefts blood pressure rise…. In fact, I am far more interested in these young people burning and pillaging in Atlanta under the name of Antifa. They are doing all this violence in protest of a privately funded police training center. Yeah, nobody is talking about it. Yeah, personal property is being destroyed. Yeah, if this were done under the tutelage of Oath Keepers, the ire of the left would be so vociferous that it is all that we would be discussing here. And likely blaming it on Trump… But it’s been going on a week now and nary a peep. All these young people have no idea that they have ruined any possible chance of having a successful future. And the heck of it is…. When one of them gets mugged on the streets of Atlanta, who is the first person they will call? That’s right… Your friendly local constable. One of these kids even shot and wounded a cop. He lost his life for his trouble…. The people that get these kids wound up to do these crimes and are ruining these kids lives and should be strung up by the short hairs…… Hhhmmm and it leads me to wonder. How many Oath keepers shot a cop on January 6th? I still maintain my position of no violence being acceptable, but how bout we set the hypocrisy aside just this once. Whaddya say?

I was wondering which elephant in the room would be brought up here first. Excuse me if I don't care about violence towards property at the moment

Why do we even call the police? They're terrible at their jobs. When I had my phone stolen in college, I figured out the identity of the person who did it and brought that information to the police. They knew the guy, a "regular" of theirs. They told me there was nothing they could do, but they'd let me know if someone turned it in to them voluntarily. Case closure rate for robbery is around 20% in the U.S., it's pathetic.

Sorry to get emotionally charged there, but the line about "who will you turn to?" always gets to me from having had such a reality check with the system.

Private property has insurance coverage. Who is paying for damage to our Capitol thanks to those Oath Keeping losers?

    Answer You and I

Police did not tell Newsweek whether the protests were linked to a particular left-wing organization.

    No, I won't excuse that.

Violence directly against living things is worse, but violence against property is still violence against living things . . . just indirectly.

And really... This is my whole point. My first run-in with police was when I was but a wee lad.I built myself a slingshot and proceeded to sling rocks at streetlamps. Unbeknownst to me, a local constable was sitting in his car around the corner watching me. He pulled up, confiscated the slingshot and drove me to my sweet little mother who proceeded to grow six feet tall in an instant and tore my backside up so bad that I couldn't sit down for days..... It was a hard lesson to learn and a simple one. Do not destroy property that does not belong to me. Seems a simple lesson all youngsters should have learned before they leave kindergarten... Yet here we are, the most advanced civilization in the history of mankind and somehow we have made destruction of others property alright somehow. How the heck did we get here?

A bunch of domestic terrorists dressed in black and setting fire to everything in sight. It's nothing we haven't seen from them before.

Without getting into the specifics of your case, how did you "figure out" who did it? Could you prove it without a reasonable doubt? Even though you knew in your own mind who took it, would it be enough to convince a judge or jury? The criminal justice system has to look at every aspect of a case to ascertain if it's prosecutable. For instance, circumstantial evidence is rarely enough to convict anyone. I'm not saying that was the specifics of your case, I'm simply pointing out that law enforcement has to work beyond circumstantial evidence, hearsay, gut feelings, etc.

Antifa doesn't like America and they want to destroy it: Former Antifa member

    January 24, 2023

CNN and other major media outlets are being criticized for making the Antifa attacks in Atlanta appear insignificant, which a former member explains is actually beneficial for Antifa.

Former Antifa member Gabriel Nadales joined "Jesse Watters Primetime" to dig into the media's downplayed response to the Antifa attack in Atlanta and share his insight on the overarching goal of the group.

"Of course it's good for Antifa. You know, I can always count on CNN to act as a professional PR team to excuse Antifa violence, because time and time again they'll say, oh, Antifa is just an idea. It's just an ideology. It's not real. And then when they get caught and you see Antifa on the street, it wasn't that violent. Or sometimes they even say they're the good guys," he explained.

The mainstream media has been downplaying the anarchy and violence caused by Antifa for years because, according to Nadales, the media does not want to admit to this destruction because they "don't want to fight Antifa."

"They don't want to say it because they really don't want to fight Antifa. Because to fight Antifa would be to admit that they were lying for five, six years now. When they first praised Antifa back in 2015, when president, when candidate Trump first announced that office," said Nadales.

Nadales goes on to explain how the primary goals vary from group to group, but the overriding ideology is a dramatic hatred for American and Western ideals. The group is against Democrats and Republicans equally, and promotes and backs an anti-American movement altogether.

"There is always this overarching like anti-fascism. But you have to ask yourself, what does anti-fascism mean? Well, when they define it, they don't mean Nazis, they don't mean KKK, they mean basically Western ideals as well as democracy itself. They don't like the Democratic Party. They don't like the Republican Party. They want to destroy America," Nadales explained.

Nadales questions the media's relaxed narrative onf the myriad of Antifa attacks, speculating that "you would think that CNN or other mainstream outlets would be united with all other Americans against Antifa because Antifa is an anti-American movement.

"For some reason they just want to excuse it, pretend it doesn't exist. But let me tell you, the longer we don't acknowledge the threat of Antifa, the more they will grow and the harder it will be to fight them," warns Nadales, who was ostracized by his group for having the "audacity" so go explore other ideas.

"They just called me a capitalist pig, and it was a repeated cycle of any time I tried to venture out of like of this sticker type ideology," he said. After being routinely pushed out for expressing other ideas, Nadales elected to leave the group, having "had enough."

So I was a stupid kid, in college, and did something a little dangerous. But it makes for an okay story.

He was a drug dealer and immediately began using my phone to sell drugs. What he didn't know was that I still had access to my text messages online. He immediately began texting people saying his name and wanting to meet up.

Here's where it gets crazy. After watching him converse with a few people, I learn I can use the online site to send text messages from my phone. So I pose as him and arrange to meet up with a woman at the library.

I took 2 friends with me, where we find her and confront her. She's immediately terrified, thinking it was a sting, saying she'd never buy drugs again. I felt bad for her. However, she was extremely forthcoming with the info on the guy who had my phone.

After tracking his internet accounts, I brought his name and pictures to the police. They recognized him from many other encounters, but were unable to take action without him turning it in.

It was stupid and dangerous what I did, but I was young. In any case, I did virtually their entire job for them, and I got a shrug as a response.

Well, there's no accounting for youthful stupidity so I can't blame you there. A better thing to do, perhaps, would have been to let the police know immediately that the phone was stolen. They could have coordinated with you using the online texting capability and set up a sting on HIM. But, you may have compromised the integrity of the investigation by taking matters into your own hands (evidence trail, surveillance, privacy concerns, etc.).

And yet, it was your incessant judging of others that brought the question to the forefront. Hum?

The leftists of this country and democrat governors make sure the police will stay that way. Look at NY & CA for what I write about. It is free stealing with no repercussions. YOU VOTED FOR THESE FOLKS so quit your whining. It is going to get much worse.

@JoeNation, I'm here to tell you to your "post" that YOU JUDGE EVERYTHING.
It is human nature. I forgot. You are that non-engaging primate "Chi Chin" sitting across the chessboard with the Knight in your mouth and a banana in your hand. :p:D What a picture I see.

No, it was my greater tolerance of your incessant judging that allowed me to suppress the question longer than you.
