From what I know of my religious and educational acquaintances, unlike the Church, schools are absolutely full of people who will invite their colleagues in.
To add to what I wrote before, from what I know of my religious and educational acquaintances, unlike the Church, schools are absolutely full of people who will invite their colleagues in (into unconventional sexual relationships). The liberal media clearly "has it in" for Christianity, and protects contributors to the teacher's union. The only grounds upon which your position in this argument stands is the lack of energy mainstream media has around investigating and publicizing sexual abuse in our educational system. Pigs protecting their own kind . . . it's too bad, because it sheds a poor light on the good ones in our schools.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeozieeeeeeeeeee you speak with your mouth full of religions dick. who defines conventional? Please share yours. Just mind your own damn biz and stop worrying about what consensual adults do in the their privacy. Now if on the outside chance and very slim possibility you want to protect children I suggest you start with priests. and might I add WTF is the matter with you and what did your mother do to you? why do you feel any media should be biased for or against any particular idiotic religion? and so what if they did? What is the matter with you? Your cookie cutter world has been rained on? poor baby You need to find a way to get some $ and then go buy a clue.
@freshmeat displays his total ignorance of the fake media nd the Marxist attact on Religion in americw by asking this stupid question: "Why do you feel any media should be biased for or against any particular idiotic religion? [I GUESS IT"S BECAUSE IT IS OBVIOUS TO ANY INTELLIGENT NON-ATHEIST BY THEIR REPORTING! ]and so what if they did?" Perhaps if the media turned on atheists this ignorant poster might get a clue.
Oh please. If peoples bedroom antics were confined to the privacy of one’s own home…. This discussion would never had begun.
Conventional is normal, generally accepted, not deviant, so, unless you are a self-avowed deviant, you understand what I've written just fine. You can stick it where the sun don't shine @freshmeat ! Society started with priests decades ago . . . it is now high time we focus on long-ignored educators. My mother raised me a liberal, that's what she did to me. Fortunately, I opened my eyes, and have corrected my course. For a self-proclaimed genius, you sure get a lot wrong. Think about what you just wrote. I didn't say any media outlet should be biased for or against any religion. My writings imply that they should not be biased for or against a particular religion. I have $ enough to get a clue, but universities are not the place to buy those. Your last post makes that evident. Universities are where you buy sheepskins, not clues . . . I can learn more outside of'em than in'em. So can everyone else.
This also applies..... There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge. Isaac Asimov
Really, a repeat response four minutes apart? A quote from a far leftist individual that specifically describes the current leftist like yourself.
JoeNation, explained exactly who he is. Perhaps he has finally figured out what a pain in the butt a worthless, politically ignorant member is: "There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge." ___________________________________________________ Now I understad that the first step to fixing a moral and mental defect is to admit it exists.
Stick your elitist nose into other people's business and tell them what to do because they can't possibly be as smart as you . . . if they won't listen to you, elect someone they think that they do have to listen to . . . Then watch his arse get handed to him too. Jobie's a useful idiot, walking in lockstep with his electorate.
Somebody doesn't know much about old Isaac. He was a prejudiced Elitist. The cute little essay that is being referred to was very unpopular, and never re-published by him in any of his follow-on collections of writings. This guy was no Brainiac and was a haughty ignorant self-hating pseudo intellectual that enjoyed being portrayed and described as same. The Clown stated many times he had only met 2 people in his life whose intellect surpassed his own. That should inform the average person of his self-loathing. Read the continuous monotonous boring similarity of his writings. "Foundation" is his inner control psyche committed to paper, and that is all it is. Compared to Rand, he is a thumb sucker. The man was an accomplished Con Artist. Truth for disclosure: had an encounter with him, and it was not pleasant for anyone involved. For a supposed biologist/chemist that was presented as some physicist genius, this was a very misguided BS artist concerning the very purpose of the meeting...missile development. The superiority complex oozing from his physical presence needed only a slight dash of humor and he could have beat POTUS Trump in 16. He was once termed the "Corporal that never". Period. End of description. Ask this question once you emerge yourself into his undeserving lauded works...why did he truly hate POTUS Eisenhower?
Such "opportunities" don't present themselves to all. Unfortunately, it seems Isaac's self-confidence was both misplaced and overblown, so he obviously wasted your time with his excessive hot air (a better authority on balloons than missiles) . . . some opportunity. Sounds like you know more stuff about Isaac than the average bear, @charley . . . I'll say it for you . . . You know stuff, and you know at least a few blowhards too.
You both know that politically ignorant member @JoeNation for sure! He "outed" himself in this thread so I got a better reason he posts nonsense he cannot defend.
That is very kind of you. I take pains to avoid braggadocio, so I should disclose that I was simply a "well, maybe" body that was there, and only because a very worried Field Grade Officer was informed he had to make a showing at a blahblah about the Camp Sentinel program and I happened to have been stupid enough to take the TTR and MTR Exams seriously and.....( I won't do that again, Darpa is a little bit wacky, even for me). There were at least a couple of hundred people listening to his pontificating, and being a product of 1st gen. Irish parents, I knew blarney when I heard it, whether it was in Gaelic or English or Latin. I do not recall even one person clapping politely or asking a question. Sad, really. The funny thing is, at that time, being a young adult with what could be described a mediocre Jesuit education (meaning I didn't know much stuff) who had, like many other young people, read a lot of Asimov Sci-Fi work and was fascinated, but what I recall most about it was his silly sideburns. I had never seen a photo with them, and thought "wth is wrong with this guy"? They were down to his neck and he was either mimicking Einstein or Elvis...I don't know which. I think there is a reason he married a Psychiatrist. To this day, I still don't know why I was there.
Is this what comes next from the agenda of so called progressive liberals and the Democrat Party. You do know that Donkeys have hoofs!
I do understand, and will bother to explain it to you.

There is nothing inherently good ( as opposed to evil) about nor implied regards 'conventional'. It is a mechanism of stagnation, regression and oppression.

Some historical relevance, things once (or even still) 'conventional' either worldwide, regionally or only locally:

slavery, jihad, cannibalism, crusades, chemical warfare, infanticide, genocide, racism, xenophobia, bribery, corruption, fascism, Nazism, antisemitism, female genital mutilation, pedophilia, theocracy, monopolies, monarchies, Authoritarian and totalitarian regimes, oligarchy, The list could go on, but even you might get it by now.

'deviant' is subject to interpretation and establishment. Is it you who writes the rules? No.

Show us the law violated. Not your desire to create new law to outlaw things you don't like or agree with. It simply is not your biz. You said nothing to help your cause, but you did inconvenience some electrons.

You are afraid of others who are not like you and instead of getting over it and/or minding your own biz you want to go and mess them up. Screw with their position in society and their ability to live free with all the comforts that you enjoy. You seek to deny them liberty and pursuit of happiness.

For no good reason other than your hate and ignorance. How is it any biz of yours what consenting others do among themselves? You don't have to watch. Especially if it bothers you. Try holding your self to the same standards you wish to impose on others. You conform to their norms and beliefs. And even then it would not grant you any right to impose on others. wtf are you trying to say? There were no societies before priests started diddling boys? What is the start date you want to propose for society? seems you didn't buy any clues as to what higher education is about.
This is the fallacy. You say yourself what others do among themselves is not TC’s business. And it isn’t…. Problem is that the behavior is not relegated to the privacy of the home. It is on TV. It is marching down the street. It is in my face. If the behavior was in fact confined to the privacy of one’s own home, this would never be a discussion….. If I engage in heavy petting on Main Street with my wife, I am breaking the law… If a gay couple fondles each other on Main Street, they are “expressing their ability to live free”? And this isn’t a blatantly hypocritical view? No sir… This sword cuts two ways. Keep the behavior in the privacy of your own home and we have zero issues. Nobody cares what anyone does in their home. So keep it there.
This post is the definition of the intolerance that the Right is always accusing the left of. I couldn't care less if a gay couple holds hands in public or makes you feel icky. That's on YOU!
@JoeNation, posted: "This post is the definition of the intolerance that the Right is always accusing the left of. I couldn't care less if a gay couple holds hands in public or makes you feel icky. That's on YOU!:" Yes it is and it is normal for well adjusted males. If you ever decide to have a therapist talk with you about girlie man tendencies, there is a slim chance you will understand. It works like this Joe. All through the ages, groups of humans develop customs and formulate "acceptable" behaviors. You of all members should know that while monkeys can go up to each other and stick their nose up each others naked butt that is something the vast majority of humans would consider to be unacceptable to do in public AT THIS POINT IN TIME. I cannot speak what you and your ilk will change in the future. These "acceptable" behaviors are different for different cultures. Thus, abnormal and queer behavior (even something like two male friends holding hands) would get you stoned or thrown off the roof to your death in some places. I expect real males in Europe to embrace. When 95+% of the American culture sticks their nose up when they see two queer men kiss and shove their tongues into each other, IT SIGNIFIES THAT THOSE PEOPLE ARE PART OF THE NORMAL, SEXUALLY ADJUSTED, AND CULTURALLY AWARE MEMBERS OF A COMUNITY. You and the unusual products of GOD's creation can continue to smell butts, crap discussions out of ignorance, and consider yourselves "normal." _______________________________________________________________________ Ignorance can be fixed. The three useless monkeys are deaf, dumb, and blind.
It ain't the holding hands that I care about. I live in a capitol city and the parades are nothing short of erotica. Kids walking home from school have to see that mess. Heck man... I was almost arrested when I returned home from overseas and proceeded to lock lips with my wife in the airport. It was made very clear to me that NOBODY wanted to see that.. Why the hell is it intolerant to keep your sexual promiscuity behind closed doors? Icky my arse.....
