Only social media that I do is here and on CoinTalk, though I do have a LinkedIn profile set up at my bankers behest some years ago... Lately, I been receiving connection requests from young ladies with very pretty photos from all sorts of exotic "asserted" backgrounds..... Fashion designers, architects, etc.... The photo's are a bit too perfect so I know these are bogus requests. If I accept the request, I immediately get back an alluring note for my ever growing ignore pile..... What is the scam with these people? Trying to get homely old men to talk with them and ultimately abscond with their meager bank accounts?
No. I met my first wife the same way. Then she drained my bank account. I met my second wife the same way and she also drained my bank account. My third wife, who I met the same way, also drained my bank account. Then my fourth wife, who I think was in cahoots with the other three, did the same thing. My fifth wife, who assured my that she wasn't associated with the other four also drained my account. My sixth wife was absolutely not associated with the others, but was a Nigerian princess who sent me an e-mail that I was the winner of the Nigerian lottery... also drained my bank account. So now it's on to wife number 7 who I've actually never met, but has promised that the only reason she needs my bank account info is because her sick mother needs a kidney transplant. In other words, @Mopar Dude, just delete those fake messages. Scammers are only one rung up the ladder from socialists and communists.
Gosh @CoinOKC, LinkedIn has only been around since 2002 so it sounds like you've been robbing the cradle . . . err, the cradle's been robbing you . . . um, whatever.
