    Think of it like this.....Rwanda

The UN sent peace keepers, they sat by as the Hutu militias murdered millions of Tutsis.
I would rather have seen "Peace makers" sent in to destroy the Hutu terrorists, kill them all. Sometimes you have to stand up for what is right, rather then sing Cum Bi Ah.;) Jimmy Carter, should have sent in US forces in 79, when they took all those hostages.

Those aren't the reasons we're invading. In fact, why did we start a war without being attacked? You don't get to attack Iran because our soldiers were hurt in misguided Iraq and Afghanistan invasions.

No it isn’t. But it does serve to illustrate almost fifty years of aggression towards the US.

By other nations and people that just so happen to be in the same area. Should we pay for Canada's crimes? Should Mexico pay for ours?

    Don't be so damned thick-headed!

We attacked Iran because they waved in front of our noses their ability to wield nuclear weapons against us in short order! Period . . . end of story!

How do you square that with the administration's proclamations just a few months earlier?

These extremists are like ants . . . they keep coming back and rebuilding until you kill them off.

How very genocidal of you. Listen, they've been "weeks away from a nuclear weapon" for decades now as pretense to decimate the region. It's been both Republicans and Democrats spouting it that whole time, in service of our main export, the military industrial complex. At what point do you accept you're being had?

I will agree that some of that exists. But you have to concede that Iran has been the world’s largest sponsor of state terrorism going on five decades. At some point you do have to confront the bully or he keeps bloodying your nose.

The reason is plain as day. Iran is a rogue regime, the population is enslaved under a maniacal new leader, even worse then Dad. The civilized World cannot stand by and do nothing like in Rwanda, Cambodia. Also these wackos can NEVER be allowed nukes, bad enough that Clinton did nothing, so now Mr "Bad Hairdo" has ICBMS that can reach US:mad: This War is a battle of "good vs evil", Russia + Iran + North Korea+ China vs USA + Ukraine, as Lindsay Graham stated. Canada is a good neighbour, the other one is not (Russia)

I'll accept that I'm not being had when the Iranians say it to us instead of us saying it to ourselves . . .

    That was last week!

They did say that didn't they? In fact I heard one of our negotiators that was in the room say that the Iranian negotiators began the proceedings with that very statement. Talk about a poke in the eye.

What exactly makes you think these teenagers were on Iran's payroll?

    Yes, they did . . .

Only 3 years ago Iran had already been found to have refined uranium to far greater levels of purity than allowed by its agreement with the IAEA. At the time, they were allowed 300 Kg at a level of only 3.67% purity.

A week ago, Steve Witcoff said, "Both the Iranian negotiators said to us, directly, with, you know, no shame, that they controlled 460 kilograms of 60%, and they're aware that that could make 11 nuclear bombs, and that was the beginning of their negotiating stance". Now, they claim 450 Kg at a level of 60% purity.

Trump and Netanyahu were right to pull the trigger when they did.

While criticism of the loss of innocents is justified, Liberals are wrong to criticize the USA and Israel attacking nuclear and military facilities and supporting infrastructure.

Let's get something out of the way. I don't believe in "good vs evil" in any objective sense. Nobody is the "good guys" or "bad guys" everything is grey.

You could make an argument about the US if you really wanted. Maniacal leader going by decree, terrorizing cities (see Minneapolis), and the state (police) extrajudicially execute 1000+ people per year.

I'm not saying you should make that argument necessarily, but I won't accept the simple matter of "good vs evil" as reason
