This is I hope the start of a real offensive to remove the Taliban and others from this Province, British troops have been stuck there for way to long fighting a war without adequate equipment (seriouse lack of choppers to name but 1 thing) now they have the support they so despratly needed and I would like to Thank President Obama for supplying it and not forgetting us (unlike our own Goverment)

    DeOrc,

Seems it's not the first time you've mentioned British troops being put into imposssible situations.

Now the great appeaser is sending troops into the region that Britian has "forgotten"?
An interesting development and an interesting strategy to say the least. Occupy the towns and let the enemy come to us in an a region where the only cash crop is drugs.

What is there to eat in the mountains surrounding the valley? Apparently not much.
Seems the locals distrust us and with good reason. After all what have we really done for them? Many will conveniently overlook this point but we've been at war in Afghanistan for what now - eight years? Are we winning?

I'm very interersted in the responses that will come to this thread.

This is good news. Not everything O does is wrong. ( just most ;) )

I am not one to be blind partisan, never have been.

I read a similar story on Drudge. No koolaide here. I wish nothing but success.

Didnt we remove the Taliban a few years ago. Yes, I'm sure I read that in a newspaper.
