That was a covert operation of the CIA to depose a government that was deemed a threat to the United States under the foreign policy adopted during the cold war. It involved very few American personnel and took place half way around the world when most Americans didn't even own a TV. How easy was that secret to keep. Are we to believe that the people who were complicit in the 9/11 conspiracy remain quiet simply because they don't understand all the details. Logic dictates that these people would be coming out of the woodwork to tell their story unless they had either an incentive not to (money) or were intimidated though threats of physical harm. There is no way the government could have accomplished either bribery or extermination on that grand of a scale. Even if these tactics could keep 99% of the people involved quiet, that still leaves thousands of talkers. The plane's best possible speed would be about 320 knots. The plane would have broken up before reaching those speeds. They are uncontrollable past 320 knots. Possibilities include a modified military jet, remote control very likely. Pilots cannot do what NTSB claims the hijackers did.

Would not this behavior be explainable only if the head of the Secret Service detail knew that the planned attacks did not include an attack on the president? The 9/11 Commission, of course, did not ask this question. It was content to report that "[t]he Secret Service told us they . . . did not think it imperative for [the president] to run out the door." Maintaining decorum, in other words, was more important than protecting the president's life. Can anyone seriously believe that highly trained Secret Service agents would act this way in a situation of genuine danger? The secret service would gain their lives and their families live for generations. That would be enough in my view.
