5th anniversary of Katrina....

Whats to bring up David, I asked a while ago about the state of the city and was told that areas are still not rebuilt, people are still homeless hell even some of the services such as fire fighters are opperating out of Trailers

Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock were there her to cut the ribbon on the Warren Easton Charter High School Health Clinic (She helped raise cash for it) and him to talk on tv about his eco homes

Oh and the bit I am sure you want to comment on President Obama visited, he was at Xavier University

I think Sandra did a great thing, and so did Warren. I watched a show here and think he is an amazing person. He is a big TV star and never forgot his roots, and it is awesome to se him come back with a bigger voice and help those folks.....he has money and fame, but remembers his roots....that IS America folks

I lived on the Mississippi Gulf Coast from '93-'96, our newspaper & broadcast news originated from New Orleans and I still have many contacts there who are active in the goings-on of the area. Even back then the debate raged about how & where to spend the money appropriated for the cities infrastructure...levies, pumping, drainage, etc...I can assure you, the levies being neglected & in bad repair wasn't a surprise to anyone. The Morials, Landrieus, Jeffersonc, Nagins, Clintons etc all knew very well of the conditions but it was always more important to redecorate an office, buy new cars for city officials and the like. Do your research & see who has called the shots there.
