Why I hate the Tea Party. AstroTurf movement by any other name. If the Tea Party members are too dumb to know that they are being used again, is there any hope for them?

When the Tea Parties first started, they claimed to be grassroots organizations. I think that many of them believed it too. Power and money at the root of the Tea Parties, there is nothing resembling grassroots to be seen.

That was a good video, Moen... thanks for sharing that with us. I think you would hate the Tea Parties (regardless of any perceived connection to the Koch brothers) simply because they're an anti-socialist, pro-capitalist, small-government and anti-taxation movement.

Sure I have. Why don't you name all the movements he has funded.

Perceived connection? Did you watch a different video than the one I posted? I wouldn't use the word perceived, alleged, suspected, supposed, so-called, or any other noncommittal adjective to define the relationship the Tea Party has to the Koch brothers. These guys are radical Right-wingers and will only cause the death of the Republican Party. So be it.

It is your thread. When you make an intelligent point, I might be interested.

According to the video, how much money have the Koch brothers given to Tea Parties...? You haven't made your "power and money at the root" connection, Moen. So far, it's just a "perceived connection". Regardless, if the Koch brothers want to give to the Tea Parties, more power to them. I don't have a problem with Soros giving his money to left-wing radicals. I just have a problem with left-wing radicals in general.

What "grassroots" movements have Soros' name all over them? Face it, the Tea Party movement is just billionaires using stupid people (no shortage of them on the Right) to further their own business interests at the expense of hard working Americans that go to work, pay their taxes, and make this country great. Backdoor, covert, sneaky, liars like the Koch brothers do not reflect American values no matter how many flags they paint on their buses. There will always be people that can be co-opted into fighting against their own best interests for the benefit of those that least need the help. We just call those folks the base of the Republican Party. When idealism replaces reality and facts, people will gladly walk off of cliffs in pursuit of anything shiny regardless of the consequences for themselves, their families, or their country. That is the load you guys have bought into and you've paid a suckers price ever since. I wouldn't mind setting up a lawn chair and watching you jump off one-by-one if only your ground trembling lemming-like behavior didn't shake the earth under my lawn chair and bounce me closer to the edge of the cliff.
