When Eyjafjallajökull erupted last year (on April 14, 2010) it led to the closure of most of Europe's airspace for a week. This time it's Grimsvötn, but unlike last year the ash cloud isn't expected to cause complete closure of European airspace... though thousands of flights have already been cancelled. BBC News - Thousands hit by volcanic ash cloud flight delays Life in Iceland for people who live near enough to the volcano to be impacted by it's ash cloud has become a nightmare. The ash has turned day into night, or a gray/brown hell. Those who live there must wear masks to breath and goggles to see if they venture outside, and they can only stay outside for a few minutes before they begin to have difficulty breathing. BBC News - Iceland volcano: Life under the ash cloud The ash seeps into everything. Any crack becomes an avenue for the fine particles to enter. Cars work... for a while ...but the air-filters quickly become clogged. And it's a good bet any engine that tries to function in these kinds of conditions is going to seize, the ash will act like a cement when it mixes with the oil and fluids in the engine. I'd hate to have to live like that... For more information on last year's eruption at Eyjafjallajökull, read this: 2010 eruptions of Eyjafjallajökull - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ...What can I say? I like Wikipedia lol A detailed scientific analysis of the Eyjafjallajökull eruption from the Institute of Earth Sciences, Nordic Volcanological Center: http://earthice.hi.is/page/ies_Eyjafjallajokull_eruption Information on the Grimsvötn eruption from the Institute of Earth Sciences http://www.earthice.hi.is/
...and Dancing with the Mediocre Stars lol... my gf and her daughter never miss an episode of either... I just figured this type of story would fit well in World Events
Are you implying that volcanic eruptions are also the sinister work of some secret government agency?
No. I'm implying the American people wouldn't care one way or another regardless. I know you and most believe everything the machine cultivates and would never suggest such a thing.
Nor should they. There is nothing you can do about natural disasters despite your willingness to believe that the human race can somehow control both geological and atmospheric events. The human race is but a blip in the life of this planet. The tectonic plates have been churning, mountains have risen and fallen, ice ages have come and gone, and the weather has followed natural cycles long before we we here and will continue to do so long after we have gone. You can take that to the bank.
Now that sounds so very typically republican/rich/corporate of you. Never woulda guessed such a stance. You're right in one aspect though that I can at least agree with though. The earth will keep churning, tectonic plates will keep shifting, mountains, etc, etc, etc,. I'd simply add that man's arrogance to continually screw with what he knows nothing about will also persevere, leading to the very demise of the planets current inhabitants, and with a mostly brain dead public, it won't be very difficult, or take very much longer. About oh....12/21/12 I'd wager. That, you can also take straight to the bank too (referring to the post prior to the date I mean).
I'm all in. If I lose the bet, I would be dead anyway, right. Tom, you really need to gain some respect for the forces of mother nature. You would think that the recent tsunamis, tornadoes, and floods would give you proof, but you automatically assume that those disasters were caused by the human race. Maybe you need an exhibition of nature's power that is not a natural disaster. Try watching Deadliest Catch and gain an appreciation of the power of the Bering Sea. That program shows very well how very small we really are.
That is a sure bet... lol ...just look at how many foreign species have been introduced to the U.S. that have ended in disaster. The last two on my radar were that giant jumping carp and another fish from the amazon that, once introduced here, went from a plant eater to attacking humans. A simple search on the internet found these sites: Introduced species - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ...my go to info source U.S. Global Change Research Information Office ...appropriately titled "Consequences" Exotic Species | Biological Indicators of Watershed Health | US EPA ...and the EPA's opinions ...and those were just the 1st three sites lol ....we'll never learn
So your evidence that man is destroying the environment is supported by man's failed attempts to create an artificial habitat for a non indigenous species of animal? And no, I didn't read your stupid links, just your post.
I've seen the show and I find it pretty interesting. Dude...all I can say is the bouncing microwaves off the ionsphere can't be a good thing. The lines I see painted in the sky every day that doesn't "officially" take place, and from what I've read on the HAARP subject, and the goobmints secretive non disclosure on the subject, all lead me to believe there could be something to it. I never said nature wouldn't still be here. I'm saying natures inhabitants won't likely be around much longer. Couple that with the current corporate climate of greed and more, more, more while cutting the throats of the masses over and over, hey, it might not be a bad thing if God hits the reset button. HAARP is screwing with nature, big time. That's all I know for sure.
Tom, Seriously, you need to stop. Contrails are not some secret substance being strewn across the sky as part of a huge conspiracy. It is fundamental science, not a grand conspiracy. Not everything in the world is a conspiracy. So because you don't have full disclosure on HAARP, you think that contrails are some mysterious substance referred to as chemtrails. It just makes you sound completely crazy Tom. It really really does. And unless a nuclear war breaks out, nature and the inhabitants of this planet will be fine for a very long time. Have a drink and chill out.
Your twisted logic is wrong on three counts;...in two sentences lol One: I never mentioned man destroying the environment. The articles I posted links for are about the consequences Americans must live with because of the invasive species that were accidentally or intentionally introduced into our country....of course you didn't care to look before replying... Two: Nothing I wrote is about "man's failed attempts to create an artificial habitat for a non-indigenous species." (see explanation in point 'One' above, 2nd sentence.) Three: It's not about you. The post you replied to was my reply to tomcorona. I don't care if you read those links or not. ...again, you failed to take the time to read the info...(laughs)
Since you stepped into my convo with tom, thought I'd return the favor (laughs) There is plenty of evidence supporting our governments experiments in all fields of study. Our government has experimented with chemical and biological weapons, take smallpox for example... the only known stockpiles of it are in the U.S. and Russia. Both countries have produced strains capable of 100% mortality. Lyme disease was undoubtedly the result of our governments research into biological warfare using ticks and other primitive life as a carrier. HAARP isn't imaginary, it's real. The government even has a public website dedicated to the research. The science (and technology) is there... but it's extremely difficult to comprehend unless you know what to look for, and have the patience to look. ...and yes, the government has experimented in releasing chemical and biological substances from airplanes... they'll try anything. ...no point in posting links... (laughs)
Dude. You really don't think those tic tac toe lines in the sky are simply contrails. You can't be that stupid. I see them every damn day and I've read up on the controversy as to what they might be. They AIN'T contrails. Contrails dissipate rather quickly and not very far from the end of the plane. These things go from horizon to horizon, then the formerly blue sky becomes gray after the "trails" spread out. Do you not see these things where you are? Look up sometime. Crazy? You can do better than that dude. HAARP is real and it plays with the ionisphere. Why is that crazy?
By that logic, you are saying that the government has thousands of planes dedicated to this conspiracy. It just isn't possible dude. And contrails can stay visible for a long period of time depending upon the atmospheric conditions despite what Steven Jones has told you.
I don't really care if you thought you were having a private clown conversation with Tom. I will write whatever I want whenever I want. Furthermore, how is the fact that you perceive my response as butting in evidence of my logic being incorrect? Answer that dumbass. And while you may not have mentioned destroying the environment, that is what Tom was referring to, and you came out agreeing with him. Lastly, if this quote is not about "man's failed attempts to create an artificial habitat for a non-indigenous species." then please explain what you meant. And I still haven't read you stupid links.
