I know it's nothing you folks really care about, but . . .

I'm SO excited! My dog, Sprite, finished her United Kennel Club grand champion title today--I've been showing UKC for 10 years now and have never had a Grand Champion! She's not only a grand, she's my special little girl that is finally starting to snuggle and blossom as a pet, too. I got her last February from a person who wanted to spay her and place her as a pet, since "she'll never do anything in the show ring." Right . . .

Glad for both of you HM.

Dogs are the best. Unconditional love.

Mine is no show dog but she manages to make me smile and frequently laugh on a daily basis.

Thanks so much! Yep, it's an ongoing thing. I'm hoping that she'll be able to finish in the top ten next year. :D

All dogs are awesome. Mine are pets first and show dogs second. I have to admit, though, that I like it best when I am showing them or participating in agility, since it allows me to be social and still enjoy the dogs I love. I'm not a very socially adept person and anything that gets me out and about is good.

My dogs are far cooler than I am, Andy, but thanks for the compliment. :)
You're welcome, Tom--I think it's pretty cool when people take advantage of the "Chatter" board to give other people insight into things they are not all that familiar with. I'm excited about Sprite. She's a really neat dog and I foresee a decent show/agility career for her. Thank you for being kind and not making fun of my dog or the sport that I love so much.

Congrats. Dogs are awesome companions. We have 2 rescued mutts...one is Chow/Golden mix and is my wife's baby and the other is a Hound/Horse mix...well, not really horse but something just as big...and she is my baby. She spent 3 months in a cage about half the size she is at a no kill shelter before I found her...and you've never seen a dog so happy to have been rescued and have a yard to run in. A gentle, hyperactive giant, she is. lol

Good on you and Sprite. I have a constantly irate schnoodle who is more a pain than a comfort, but he tickles me somehow.

Thank you. You know that dogs pick up their behavior cues from their owners, yes?
