What a disappointment. At least the Giants WON! THAT FOR YOU, BRADY! w00t!!! *cough* *regains composure* Ah well, there's Mardi Gras to distract me until the NFL Combine on the 28th and then only another 8 weeks before the draft starts on April 26, with plenty of free agent conversation in between. I expect the biggest Saints drama to be Drew Brees' contract and whether or not Marques Colston will be re-signed in the free agency. *cough* Really? After that, unfortunately, 12 loooooooonnnnnnnnng weeks before training camp begins. I think I can use the Kenner and Biloxi shows and a trip to the UKC Premier as methadone for my addiction . . . and maybe a trip or two to Metairie for a Zephyr's game or two (and a post-game nosh at Cafe Roma or La Madeleine--just the memory of their tomato soup makes my mouth water!). Not that I'm a sports addict or anything . . .
I was happy it was the Giants who won but only because of my dislike of NE. This is the dark time of the year with only the draft and free agency to bring a little light into the world before July. This will be an important off-season for Da Bears. They have a lot of holes to fill. And where Manning goes (hopefully not the Vikings but it would fit their recent history of QBs) may affect things too.
