I placed this thread under world events since I believe that American Military Personnal are laid to rest at 24 cemeteries on foreign soil. Well 24 that are administered by the USA and who knows how many graves are scattered around the world.

With that said, everyone if you have not seen it yet, I would recommend watching Taking Chance and have your children watch it.

It looks to be a quite poignant movie.

As I've mentioned before, I have a relative who served, and died, in Iraq...leaving behind a husband and young children. I haven't seen any of them since the mid 90s, but I can imagine how hard that must have been for them.

I've also heard some outrageous behavior regarding the bodies being flown back ...how some were treated with less respect than I would have thought possible. But I shouldn't get into that here.

The movie appears to make an attempt to be non-partisan, and doesn't appear to delve into how the soldier died. Instead, it appears it's focused on the soldier's body returning home. Is that correct?

There's a quote out there, maybe from a movie, that goes something like this "Death has a dignity all it's own"...which is more about the near-dead, but it comes to mind when I think of a soldier's body being returned home...hopefully with the dignity, the respect, he/she has earned.
