Funny how you stear away from the facts that I showed. Funny how me just stating that it was bull**** that his wireless had that range has sparked so much anger. Just lok at your own comment. You really pissed huh that I proved that you are so hateful huh. That last comment just sealed that fact.

Insulting a person by calling them stupid, calling a person a towel head when they are not and then saying that you are instagating an issue for the hell of it to have fun.

I don't think I've replied in a hateful manner and certainly never uttered the word bull****. Who cares if it's 1/4 of a mile of a an 1/8th of a mile. I never measured it, but there is a reason (that you're unfamiliar with) while they call the dirt road we live off of "Radar Hill Road."

Well, sometimes when you're out here on the HighPlains and the long (saving) arms of civilization just can't reach you in a timely manner, if at all, the hardy have to deal with adversity on their own and one tends to "get to the point" rather quickly and that may seem upsetting and rude to others unfamiliar with the lifestyle.

Many times I've had to prime a dry pump (with whatever liquid is handy), the water tasted like vinegar for a day or two after that, LOL or break ice in water troughs and creek crossings so your cows can drink. No county govt assistance can come quick enough to help you when you're cows are dying of thirst and beef is less than a buck a pound.

The winter snows can blow in and block travel by road for weeks at a time and then the electricity goes out, what then... Better have a generator (with gas), a full tank of propane, and kerosene for the lamps handy. I'll tell you at times like those you put appendicitis, broken bones, and heart attacks out of your mind as you salt the steps leading into your house and constantly listen to the Farm & Fanch weather report on the AM radio while sipping coffee and playing solitare.

You got to understand, our old house has a section of the roof in the attic which sealed from the outside but is hinged on the inside for a reason... I found out in 1988 when a 3-day blizzard hit us in March and there were 25-foot tall snowdrifts. That year I had two heifers get (ahem), serviced for free when they just walked over the hardpacked ice which was taller than the fence in many spots and then somehow got into the neighbors bull pen two miles away.

Chuckle, cooking on your woodstove or fireplace has a lot of ambiance but one couldn't do it unless you had a few cords of wood handy. Ever wake up at 4:00 am when the temp in your bedroom just is a degree or two above freezing and you've to rekindle the stove?

So if the inflection in OldDan's voice seems harsh, I can say I know the man and what he meant even though I've never met him in person. And before you start about all the new govt supplied trucks and tracters we've got I never received a nickle from any government subsity program as I only own just a little over 50 acres...

I don't mind the personal attacks. It lets me know that those that can't debate with facts and references have already lost. Like this thread...I have outlined reference after reference as to why islam is a hateful religion and it is has no desire to live in peace with those that do not follow this terrorist religion.

What happens? I get vilified with the "hate" label including references to KKK and Nazis's. Frankly, I just chuckle because that is usually what apologists and appeasers of "true" islam throw at me. Is that all they have?

I would tend to believe that many here are "think-skinned" and can handle it.

    I can.

Because your mirroring the very same behavior the fascist used to in their rise to power. You're not so much being labeled as you are being compared to those groups. Labeling is grouping everyone that disagrees with you as apologists and appeasers...but you'd never do that would you? Don't complain that you are being labeled and then demonstrate the very same behavior.

You're very much like Aiden in your behavior. Stuck on one monotone mantra. If you don't take the stuff he says about Catholics seriously because he has droned on for so long, you might want to consider that most of us here don't take you seriously anymore because of the identical droning style---insert topic here--- that you do.

I'm not looking to pick an argument here, I just wonder if you are aware of what you sound like at this point or are you too far over the edge? You decide.

Look...I am sure that not all Germans fell all over themselves for Hitler when the Nazis's were in power. Matter of fact, I commend those that tried to take him out in 1944 risking life and limb in the process. Sure not all Germans were bad, but guess what? There were far too many of them that SUPPORTED Nazism and I find the similarities of many muslims today to 1935 Germany indeed, disturbing. Don't you find the muslim world's behavior and actions (those that follow true islam) disturbing?

I have also commended those muslims that have or tried to leave the muslim faith at the risk of a fatwa being issued against them. I am the first one to stand up and applaud their actions. They are warning the west of what "true" islam is really about, but most westerners choose not to listen to their warnings. Me? Since the 1972 Munich Olympic I have been interested in WHY these people want us dead. But if I bring up fact and reference against a faith like islam...oh no! It is now hate! It should be called a reality because this religion is sooo bad, I simply can't make this stuff up! Nobody can!

What I have no use for is those that follow islam as their prophet mohammad founded as he emerged from a cave claiming he spoke to his allah. I have no use for those that follow well over the 100 verses of hate, fighting, and intolerance that is found in the koran. I have no use for their 1,400 year history of forced conversions, enslavement and jihad.

What I do is point out the obvious in order to maybe, just maybe, have other people open up their eyes to reality of islamic situation.

So what happens? Other than the "hate" lable, I get those that "apologize" for islam by making ridiculous statements that the koran can NEVER be translated. Meanwhile, a suicide bomber holds a koran in one hand screaming "allah akbar" before he blows himself up and nobody dares to mention that maybe, just maybe...his religion is whacked and maybe, maybe we should investigate WHY those that really follow the muslim faith should NEVER be trusted.

As for appeasers. Well, if you really think that an infidel or "not muslim enough" person can sit down and "talk" with a true muslim...well, that is pretty much the definition of an appeaser. Chamberlain did that with Hitler and the rest of the infidel world (for the most part) is doing that with "true" muslims. What a shame!

Could I "sugar-coat" my assertions and statements? Sure I could...but that would take more work and typing. I would rather call a "duck-a-duck" or a "spade-a-spade" and back up my assertions and statements with the sure reality that is facing western civilization.

As for repeating myself...well...islamic attacks and killings occur so frequently that it is NOT news anymore.

Is just IS the nature and foundation of this religion.

    Midas,

I understand how it outrages you to see these radical freaks spewing religious nonsense all over and killing scores of innocent (mostly other Muslims) people. It should and does outrage anyone with a brain attached to a pair of eyes. The fact that they incorporate Islam into their evil philosophy and use and twist the words of the Koran to further their cause isn't unusual or even without precedent throughout history. In fact, it is a fairly common method of rallying support for ones cause and it has been around far longer than even Islam. It is just a tool in these radical nutcase's arsenal along with bullets and bombs.
When you focus on Islam as the problem, you completely miss the point by blaming the bullet. If I held up a bible and walked into an abortion clinic and blew myself up, would it be Christianity that killed the victims? Or was Christianity just the tool I used to motivate my actions? Would Christianity be less of a religion as a result of my actions?
I think you would benefit by posting a thread that cited every instance of some Muslim helping to defeat some radicalized group of other Muslims. Granted, that kind of action isn't likely to get as much coverage as blowing people up for obvious reasons, but it might help to balance out your perspective and see that the Koran can have a positive influence on the many that choose to live in peace.

    Cause and effect...cause and effect:

First of all, for every Timothy McVeigh, there are tens of thousands of "true" muslims that are simply acting on their koranic commands. Believe me...if a person did walk into an abortion clinic with a bible in his hand and yelled out, "Jesus is great" before he blew himself up, it would make headlines all over the world! It would be discussed for WEEKS as critcs of Jews and Christians would fall all over themselves stating, "See...See...there are terrorists in Christianity too!"

But that is NOT the case and on the flip side, the frequency of islamic attacks in the name of their religion are occurring so frequently that frankly it is NOT news anymore. It is almost like the rest of the civilzed world has accepted this religion and their behavior for what it is. I find that a crying shame.

As for innocent muslims that are killed. You have to remember that within the 1.3 billion muslims, there are those that follow the koran as mohammad intended and those that are "not muslim enough". We in the west call them "moderate" muslims but the facts have shown that "true" muslims are simply following their religion whereas "moderate" muslims are the ones trying to hijack the religion. Here's the problem...those "moderate" muslims that are paraded in the news or on Larry King do not even publically renounce all of the hate and misdeeds of their koran. Why? To do so would surely result in a fatwa against them by "true" muslims. Hence they sit idle and for the most part, simply turn away from the cancer within this religion.

As for the koran having a postive influence?? Maaybe so if you bang your head to the floor 5 times per day reciting arabic passages that one can't understand because you are FORCED to do so. It is how islamic leaders brainwash their followers with "banging of their heads" over any logic and reason. Also...keep in mind that the koran was written in a chronlogical timeline and any earlier peaceful verses have been abrugated by verses of hate and intolerance (c/o of their founding prpophet). Just like Jesus preached to "love your enemy" was a far cry from what was written in the Old Testament, mohammad's teaching were quite the opposite calling for followers of islam to "smite heads" if one did not subscribe to his treachings.

Now you understand why muslim followers love a good beheading!

As for twisting words in the koran...I can understand if you have one or two passages dealing with fighting and intolerance, but the koran has well over a 100 passages dealing with forced conversions, enslavement, taxing (jizya), and/or fighting!! This religion is an offensive religion where muslims have not gone tent to tent asking your local goat farmer if he wanted to convert to islam. They went tent to tent holding a sword to these people's necks telling them to convert or else!

The koran is not the bullet. It is the gun! It is the cause. Mohammad's life is the cause and most islamic texts are the cause which is driving this hate.

Mohammad's life and misdeeds, and the koranic writings are the gun and followers of islam (as it is written) are simply being "good' muslims as they conduct their jihad...which in arabic means to "struggle" as they fight and force islam on us infidels are just one of their bullets and swords.

The effect: Hell on Earth for us infidels that will never surrrender to this hateful religion.

Yes sir...this religion has grown to a worldwide cancer and the sooner we can call and truly identify islam for what it is...maybe, just maybe, we can defeat this movement.

There is a common thread in all of this....
    ?????????????????????????????????????????????????
    http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,301068,00.html
VIENNA, Austria — Austrian authorities said Thursday they arrested an elderly Turkish-born man suspected of fatally shooting a younger Turkish associate and slicing off the victim's penis in what investigators called an "honor killing."

Police in the town of Wimpassing in the province of Lower Austria made the arrest shortly after the Wednesday night slaying, and said the suspect — described only as a 76-year-old native Turk — did not resist.

Officials said witnesses claimed the man allegedly shot the victim, a 58-year-old Turkish-born man, in the street with a shotgun at point-blank range and then cut off his penis with a knife, leaving him to bleed to death.

Two teams of surgeons worked at the scene to save the man but were unable to revive him, authorities said.

Investigators believe the suspect apparently was jealous that the younger man had flirted with his wife, and had sought him out as "a question of honor," said Franz Polzer, head of the region's criminal investigations office.

Honor killings, driven by the view that a family's honor is paramount, are an ancient tradition associated with Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq and Iran as well as tribal areas in Pakistan and some Arab societies.

The suspect initially fled into a nearby house after the slaying, but witnesses alerted police to his location and he walked out and surrendered shortly thereafter, Polzer said.

Police said the man appeared to have purchased the shotgun earlier on Wednesday. They said he had disposed of the knife, but that officers recovered the weapon after searching the area.

It was the first known attack of its kind in Austria, which is home to about 200,000 Turks — Europe's third-largest Turkish expatriate population after Germany and France.

But so-called honor killings have occurred elsewhere in Europe:

    — In August, a federal court in Germany ordered a retrial for two brothers acquitted of fatally shooting their sister —an attack that prosecutors said was meant to punish the Turkish-German woman for her Western lifestyle.

    — In Britain in July, the father and uncle of an Iraqi Kurd woman who was murdered for falling in love with the wrong man were sentenced to life in prison for ordering the killing.

    — In 2006, a Danish court sentenced a Pakistani man to life imprisonment for ordering the slaying of his 19-year-old daughter, who was gunned down two days after her wedding because her family allegedly disapproved of her choice of husband.
