You guys won't believe this but think (no I'm sure) I saw a Black Footed Ferret this AM when I was out feeding earlier. Our place is adjacent to Federal (Buffalo Gap) National Grasslands and there is a Prairie Dog colony in the far corner of our property which straddles the fence for about 100 yds. The little rascal was scampering from hole to hole and when I whistled he stopped sat on his haunches and looked straight at me. :) Unfortunately, I didn't have a camera...

Several reintroduced litters have been released over the past few years near the Contata Basin and by-jove they've taken root and done pretty well it seems with all the Prairie Dogs out here, LOL...

Well, when they eat themselves out of those Prairie Dogs you have, just holler and we will send you some more of those also. By the truck load, of course!

Oh no... No shooting one of these little rascals. The fine and prison term just wouldn't be worth it...

Bears eh, they (Bears) are now back in the BlackHills I heard not long ago. Nothing has been in the news but there have been two incidents, one an elk carcas and the other with some llamas up near Deadwood/Spearfish I understand. I ain't talking about no honey-sucking Black Bear either...

Guess the GF&P has moved in with one of those big bear traps.
