Sorry I missed this yesterday. Hope you had a Merry Christmas yourself. I was surrounded by family and couldn’t have asked for a better day.
We stayed hunkered down at home, spent very nearly 3 relaxed hours eating breakfast, watching wildlife trudging through the deep snow in the heavy rain in the back yard, remembering the true meaning of Christmas, exchanging gifts, and reminiscing. In the afternoon we had a fine home-cooked meal, zoomed others and then settled down to watch a film. Despite never leaving the house, it was one of my most memorable Christmas celebrations. Perhaps not racing around is what made it so.
The wildlife was even more entertaining this morning . . . two bucks locking antlers while 3 fawns were racing and playing tag around a stand of pine trees in my back yard. Just awesome entertainment while drinking my coffee. I didn't find my phone and make a video clip, as I was sure they'd be gone when I got back. As it turned out, the dueling bucks lasted about 5 minutes, and the fawns played for at least 15 . . . major opportunity lost!
