Well it has happend, I believe that I warned this would occur some time back and I honestly think this is the end of British involvement in Iraq. Our dearly beloved leader The Right Honrable Gordon Brown is what I would call a bean counter and lothes having to spend money on our Armed Forces, this is why they went into action badly prepaird, this is why British service personel died due to lack of body armour. I shant go on but I think you get the picture.
Dont be suprised if he begins withdrawls from Afghanistan next :(

Job well done, appreciate the help. Plenty of sad stories and heroic stories written in blood by the Royal Marines, etc.

Hope it doesn't slip back into lawlessness and insurgency...

The Right Honrable Gordon Brown should get along rather well with the Democratic party in this country, I would think.

Just a slight of hand statement, I think we have done for Basra all we can, and maybe retreat is in order.

If he's in office for very much longer. I've seen the poll numbers. I don't think Labour has been this low since before Maggie tried to introduce the poll tax.

Poll tax? I pay a poll tax just to be able to vote by paying taxes and staying out of jail. If I had to do it all over again I would not vote. Because I registered I was placed on jury duty, twice. I don't know who is stupider (word not found in Websters but I will check the OED), the jury or lawyers. If it was a Jeporady Game question on the TV show, then I would say the jurors.

It didn't take long to find out what was going to happen after the pull-out. And now 1300 Iraqi troops and police fired because they refused to combat the insurgents. I think this is pretty much the scenario of things to come if the U.S. pulls out it's troops.

Maybe Gordon Brown realized that the people in Iraq were about as likely to adopt Democracy as the people in the UK are to adopt Shariah.

When I heard this past week (General Petraus hearings) the Dems saying that we ought to get something in return for all the effort/money/lives we've dumped in Iraq, hmmm, maybe Oil...:eek::eek:

Which Senator said this, wasn't it Senator Carl Levin?
