Ok...I stole this idea from CT. This is the Partisan Lines version. I was watching Biden's Afghanistan press conference and this song came to mind...

Has anyone had an old song that just pops into their minds and can't get it out? That happened to me last week as I was driving around Smith Mountain Lake. I couldn't remember the name of the song or who sang it...just the tune.
A while back I was pumping gas and the gas pump started playing Nashville Cats by the Lovin’ Spoonful……. That has been indelibly burned into my cranium ever since.
I think this is the most "modern" song I like. I was playing pool in a local dive and played this on the jukebox by mistake...I thought I was playing Patsy Cline.
A woman I worked with in the '70s was a big Edith Piaf fan. Piaf's post-war epic "Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien" ("No, I Don't Regret Anything") is about a woman looking back on the things she had to do to survive WWII. I came across this version while surfing YouTube. This little girl's rendition of the Piaf classic just blew me away!
