So since I doubt god's existance, my parents and my freinds tell me that I think my crap doesnt smell. I think I know everything. I am illogical. and I am disrespectful. So, um, how does anyone expect me to even give there god a chance if this is how they act. Even when I did believe I was apparently "not a true believer" because I didnt believe in trinity. Now, I love my parents and we get along good most of the time. They just are always like this when we talk about religion. I am about to just call it quits and just not even try to clear skeptism if this is how christains want to act (or at least the ones i know) signed, stainless
Stainless, don't let it get under your skin. Just chill, and look at it with an open mind. Some people don't like getting out of their "comfort zone", and will get upset with anything that challenges them and their beliefs. My thought is I'd rather know the truth, and go on living a lie just because of stubborness. I think it's great IMHO that you are taking a step back and questioning your beliefs, and searching for the truth. Most people don't have the guts to do that from what I've seen, but it needs to be done with everyone IMHO. You shouldn't believe in something just because it's what your momma told you it's the truth, you are your own person. You need to form your own opinion, and do your own searching IMHO, because you might find something they missed. Also, keep in mind, not all Christians are like that, we are all different. Don't throw in the towel just yet Stainless. Invictus' question and Phoenix's response both speak volumes. First why should you be labeled and then Phoenix's not ALL label. Those that would brand you as illogical are basically telling you that it is wrong to think for yourself IMHO. As we know, Phoenix has strong believes. Hey, that's cool BUT he also has enough compassion to look at other things. I give him a lot of credit for that. Yes, most "thumpers" are set in their ways because it is "right". It is the ONLY way. On the other hand you have people here who may or may not agree with you but give you an honest opinion. Yes, it can get sticky as we've all seen. There are a ton of other forums out there as well. You will run into some good people, some bad and some just plain stupid but avenues to explore abound. You pretty much know how I feel. Keep looking, read the comments and eventually you'll come to your own conclusion. Nothing wrong with being an individual Stainless. We all are in the end. clembo

Stainless everyone here has a good point for you. The question is DO YOU WANT TO BELIEVE? If so, find it in your own way and not in others. Other thing is we are all human first and we act like humans some to most of the time. Good Luck
