Seems he is more then ticked off at Putin and his incompetent General Staff for the botched Russian Winter Offensive. CNN states that Russia is on the verge of a civil war/ and that certain ethnic groups are pushing for leaving the Federation. Meanwhile rabid Russian pro Putin talk show hosts are spouting venom to agitate the brainwashed Russian populace into a war frenzy. One even said that Russia should nuke Kyiv in retaliation for that silly drone attack which was likely ordered by Putin to escalate war.

Meanwhile, Ukraine President Zelenskyy is preparing Ukraine for their Spring offensive to strike South capture Melitopol cut the Russian landbridge/ isolate Crimea/ for future Ukraine offensive. Zelenskyy is everything that Putin is not/ a great statesman/ compared to a murderous cleptocrat.

Lets hope that Ukraine can make Putin's Parade a nightmare scenario for Russians that cheer on their evil regime/ and that of Josef Stalin.

Perhaps but…..Last week he said he had no more artillery ordinance and it was reported that a Ukrainian General was blown up visiting the outskirts.
    True? Who knows.
Last time he said he had no ammo and he rolled with tanks through and I mean going through single floor housing at night during a snow storm and captured entire neighborhoods of Bakhmut.
The Wagner group has used Bakhmut as a trap for Ukraine forces, which is why they evacuated the civilian population before Ukraine’s troops rolled in, and they just may be trying to lure more Ukraine troops to be deployed to the area.

Crazy how people believe media as gospel. The truth may not be what any media says but the actions in the story.
Wagner hires it’s leadership from the Russian army. A payoff as much as anything else.
If Wagner and the Russian army are at odds with each other, then why is Wagner hiring these same Russian generals? And Wagner cannot hire active Generals, only retired ones or with Putin’s blessings reassigned with a big paycheck 1164F424-BE58-4F60-ACC8-9C741F261DE6.jpeg

Russia is no where near a civil war. As been posted here and false media narratives.
Largest population of Muslims in Europe, yet they fight for Russia.
Sanctions did nothing but make a few people like British Petroleum, BP, richer
People in Russia are content. Russian economy is stronger then before for many reasons. One being the world market is more Asia then Western Europe today. Never mind Latin American, the Middle East and Africa.

Maybe Putin and his henchmen will get the same as what Beria got in 1953/ nice to see the Belarusian thug get the same. Meanwhile back in the Southern Ukraine/ Russkies are taking a beating. Can hardly wait till they retake Crimea. Germany get back Königsberg which that son a biscuit box Stalin seized in 45.

    Hey Gene.
Don’t forget that the head of Wagner once stated he was going to pull out Bakhmut for he had no ammo and that night he captured vast amounts of the city after an artillery barrage that leveled entire square blocks of apartment buildings that were filled with Ukraine’s who flocked in thinking of taking advantage of what turned out to be disinformation

Wagner chief moving to Belarus after Lukashenko-brokered deal to halt march on Moscow

Prigozhin said he decided to turn Wagner troops when they were just 120 miles from Moscow to avoid 'shedding Russian blood'

    June 24, 2023

Wagner chief Veygeny Prigozhin is moving to Belarus under a deal brokered by President Alexander Lukashenko to halt the mercenary group’s march on Moscow, according to an announcement from the Kremlin.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Lukashenko had offered to mediate, with an agreement from Russian President Vladimir Putin, because he had known Prigozhin personally for around 20 years.

The announcement came after Prigozhin said he had ordered Wagner troops to turn around, defusing a dramatically escalating crisis.

Yes I'm sure they will all be friends now

A failed coup attempt is still a coup attempt. It sure doesn't speak to the unity and strength of Russia.

toughcoins Rarely is the liberal viewpoint tainted by realism

I think it's safe to say that the nature of the 25,000 former prisoners who follow Prigozhin is far from representative of the other 140 million who make up the balance of the Russian population. In fact, a worse group probably could not be selected to use as a barometer of national inclination to civil war.

Is Putin in trouble? Yes, absolutely.

Does that mean the Russian People will not stand behind him? No . . . certainly not. As indicated in a different thread, we've seen no widespread evidence of resolve to unseat Putin. Until we do, the threat of civil war does not seem credible.

A successful coup? Perhaps, but not civil war.
