Now we can't even enjoy an afternoon at the movies. Bad behavior at ‘Barbenheimer’ reflects a worrying trend - The Washington Post
I suggest you go to the movie MD and if someone else ruins it for you, complain to the theater and ask for free admission to a show another day. Eventually, even the theater which tolerates such behavior in the short term will get things under control, or lose out to another that will.
Yep. This happened to me recently. I went to a movie and there was a group of teens in the back whooping and hollering and throwing popcorn at people. I got a refund, a ticket to a future movie and the kids got kicked out. The theater offered the same deal to all of the other people who complained (approx. 15 people). However, I don't attribute this behavior as a recent trend among younger folks. It seems that there has always been a few bad apples every now and then from EVERY generation causing a ruckus.
When discipline and punishment go - so goes the society. Think of the lesson those kids would learn if the college football team that was watching the move all walked to the back of the theater and sat in the aisle and seats for a few minutes.
