Go for. I throw down the gauntlet. Let the gawd botherers make their case. Keep it Logical and fact based. Beliefs do not count. Employ the scientific method if you can. I expect this will be a lonely thread or get polluted by fail. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmm popcorn, so buttery
It’s amazing how the leftist ( ya know) the ones that make excuses for criminals, disparage Christians and demand proof of Gods existence. Well You folks, prove there is no higher power.
Scientific? Wonder what my momma would say if I asked her to provide me with scientific proof that she loved me..... Careful you don't choke on that popcorn.
Since I don't dodge, duck, shuck, ask questions and then refuse to give the correct answer (your speed of light quiz), post nonsense and lies I cannot defend, drop a crap into a thread and then slink away with my tail between my legs and a chess piece in my non-engaging pie hole , as you do all the time... I'll answer your silly question. The fact that you are breathing and able to question the existence of God is all the proof that is necessary. You see, neither science nor beliefs enter into the answer. Science cannot explain everything and what a person believes proves nothing except in your case extreme ignorance!
As an atheist, well, atheism is really the belief that God doesn't exist, the same as the belief that God does exist in my opinion, I have to say that while the idea of some omnipotent white guy in a beard sitting on the throne above the clouds watching over us all is comforting to some, it really is just the latest iteration of a delusional group superstition. As proof, I ask, how many religious belief systems have come and gone throughout human history? Literally, more than you can count. Look at just at the big ones. Why don't we worship the Gods of Olympus anymore? They were around from centuries and worshipped by huge numbers of people across the European continent. What about the Roman Gods? Who worships them these days? What happen to them? What about the Incan Gods? Why did they go? How about the Mayan Gods? How about the Egyptian Gods? Anybody here still worship Ra? The point here, in case you're slow, is that Gods come and go and the current Christan beliefs will also pass on to the dustbin of history eventually. There is no more reason to believe in the Christan belief system than there was to believe in any belief system from the past. They come and go eventually and none of them are any more real than their predecessors. It's all a fairytale that serves only the people that propagate the myths in the first place. Believe whatever you want. I have better things to do with my time.

Or answer this DIRECT QUESTION: This nonsense was posted and is the avatar of our most prolific, notable member here, @JoeNation. It is an indication that Joe is an extremely ignorant person - notable only for his ignorant lies that continue in this thread. Let me prove it. @JoeNation PLEASE GIVE THE MEMBERS HERE AN EXAMPLE OF AN ACT OF TREASON BY THE GOP IN THE LAST TWENTY YEARS. Note to all: @JoeNation has been ducking, and dodging this request for almost a week. He also continues to use this image (THAT DESCRIBES HILERY CLINTON EXACTLY) against the GOP. Man up Joe! Men and women died so you could be free to post your ignorant lies. The least you can do to honor them is to use your lying pie-hole to answer a simple question! Any member here that posts lies and nonsence and will not back them up when confronted is worthless and should not be tolerated! Therefore IMO, Anything @JoeNation posts should be suspect.
Except that Jesus is a verifiably provable historical entity. And fact is, nobody that has ever walked this earth has been the impetus for half the worlds societal foundations to change so radically in the span of only a few hundred years.... Long before any sort of mass communication were available.... I suppose a myth could have this much impact in such a short period of time and I am sure the argument will rage on about it until the end of time. But I am OK with that. It sure won't change my heart. The myth...
I have no doubt Jesus existed. The historical records indicated as much. The son of God? A common attribution in many regions prior to and since. The virgin birth story. Another common attribute especially in the Hindu belief system much older than Christianity. Point being that many of these old beliefs are recycled from belief system to belief system. The only real difference is that they change the images of the new God's to look like the current believers. How many times have you walked into a church and saw a white Jesus hanging on a cross? Jesus was anything but white. His image was "adapted" for the current crop of believers. Hindu God's look like Hindu people and animals that were found in the area. Egyptian God's looked like the people and the animals they were familiar with. The same can be said of any religious images. Gods shouldn't have to evolve to adjust to regional differences unless they are simply man-made in the first place. Did God create us or did we create God? The latter seems much more plausible.
Art is created quite simply to please the artist and his audience and has no true bearing on reality. I am not foolhardy enough to debate Jonah's trip in the belly of a fish or Ezekiel's wheel of fire..... The genuineness of the stories are not why the stories exist. My wife will cry her eyes out over a movie knowing full well that the movie is art.... But the story has a genuine meaning to her..... Again, it is a fruitless debate and I know that. You can hold me at gunpoint and demand that I conform and it won't happen. Conversely, neither would you. I only find fault that one or the other would choose to judge based upon their belief or lack thereof. That is the true story-line that needs to be addressed here.
I have not ever tried to covert anyone to my beliefs under any circumstances. I will without hesitation let anyone know what I believe and why if they care to ask. Organized belief systems are chalked full of judgments. Your "sins", your beliefs, your standing in the eyes of God, your very soul is judged in just about any belief system. You are deemed either worthy or unworthy at any moment for any number of perceived failures. Has an atheist ever come knocking on your door and tried to convert you? Of course not. Mormons, Johovah Witnesses, and ironically, magazine salesmen have routinely been known to push their wares by going door-to-door. Maybe the selling of God isn't all that different than any other commodity? But caveat emptor as they say.
JoeNation, posted: "I will without hesitation let anyone know what I believe and why if they care to ask." Sure you will. Well, I care to ask. @JoeNation What do you believe and more importantly - WHY?
You are correct. Never had an atheist knock on my door hoping for a conversion….. Then on the other hand, I never had one join me to spend their weekend and finances at the kids shelter either. Just sayin’…. Perhaps a belief system is a foundation that allows us to think and serve outside of ourselves. Certainly not a prerequisite, but the very core of faith is to serve others.

How do you know that you never been joined by an atheist at a kids shelter? Did you ask them all what they believed at the time? Doubtful. The idea that the only way one can think and serve outside of themselves is through God is...well, arrogant to the extreme. I realize that you said it wasn't a prerequisite, but service to others is a common enough theme in many, many organizations that have nothing to do with God. Social service organizations, philanthropic organizations, social justice activists, and countless other groups are deep into service to others. And they don't push their beliefs on the people they help.
Neither do we. It is only your perception and is another ploy by the left to keep people at odds with one another. I serve because I get a great personal reward for serving. Period.
@JoeNation My attempts to get you to defend your lies are continuing to build up. Now, I must believe you are a hypocrite without morals in addition to being politically ignorant. Say it ain't so Joe.
Well, I didn't say YOU pushed your beliefs but you have to admit, it is part of the process for many, many religious based organizations. It's a ploy to convert sheep to their flocks.
