Biden administration wants Ukraine to stop hitting refineries

Now I heard it all! US has held up Ukraine aid bill since Christmas. Meantime war criminal Putin has ammo advantage of 12-1. So Ukraine figures best way to beat the "Evil Empire" is to hit their money source/ fossil fuels depots/ refineries/ fuel trucks. And it worked! 25% of Russian oil/ gas has been taken off line/ destroyed. Meanwhile in DC/ Democrats are seeing world oil/ gas prices skyrocketing/ which means US voters are seeing red when paying for gas at the pumps/ which means anger at ruling party. So US has been sending overtures to Zelenskyy to stop hitting Russian petroleum/ gas infrastructure. To which the Ukrainian President answers, or what? You guys have done diddity squawt in past four months....
Meantime a man of the hour, Macron is talking about NATO naval blockades to prevent any of Putins Black Gold from being exported/ and to send troops to Ukraine to block off Belarus, so that Ukrainians there can be sent to fight at the Donbas/ Southern Fronts. Also Sweden/ Finland/ Baltics/ Poland are preparing to arm for Russian future aggression/ when Putin will attack NATO. Some in the US should worry about Alaska/ Putin aint bluffing......sociopaths are never wrong.

 

Perhaps Canada could chip in a little bit more (maybe double their current contribution?) to make up for the US shortfall.

Summer Blend just hit the pumps with an (of course) increase, and this latest wanna play war round will of course drive the price at the pump higher, and that translates into the POTUS narrative of everything is O.K falling a little deeper down the no recovery of the office for you hole.

 

You are so right. Our useless Liberal Trudeau govt. has bankrupted the Country. His insane "Carbon Taxes" are causing massive inflation. Then he nickels and dimes defence spending/ thinking Canada will be protected by your govt. when Putin decides to come over North Pole to take over. Besides Biden should know that his sanctions on Putins oil/ should mean that none of it goes to market/ esp. in NATO countries which include Canada and USA. And if Saudi Arabia is such a good friend, let them open the taps increase supply to West so prices stay stable. And, seems all the Western Nations are worried about their carbon foot print, so why is thee such a demand for oil/ gas when we are all supposely so green?

 

I haven't been keeping up, but it's been heck at the gas pump. I am not happy that this war is affecting us in the US, though. We've got plenty of domestic oil, why are we letting the lack of Russian oil affect our prices? We can replace the difference for however long the war is going. That is, we should be able to. I don't know how the industry works, but I don't see a downside to using our own oil. It is a finite resource, but what do we have it for if we just sit on it for all eternity?

 

Makes no sense/ US is not suppose to be importing Putin's oil/ gas due too Biden's sanctions on Russian petro products. Big oil is just gouging eveyone.

Payout periods for oil field developments are getting compressed. But what do you expect when the government sets a goal of making the product you produce obsolete within the next 16 years.

Here in Canada the eco nutbars want us to leave the oil/ gas in the ground/ forget about building pipelines/ refineries. They seem OK with it coming into the Country via tankers from Gulf States/ Russia/ Venezeula. Same crowd are against getting electricity from nuclear powerplants. Of course dumb Angela Merkel decided to mothball German nuclear power plants so she could buy gas/ oil from Putin. That now has come to bite Scholz since Russian oil/ gas is now under embargos. Of course Western Nations are not allowed to buy petro products from Russia/ Biden must have forgotten that fact/ when he complained to Zelenskyy about Ukrainian strikes on Putin's refineries. Zelenskyy on the otherhand is smart enough to figure out that/ without revenues coming in from illicit oil/ gas exports too China/ India/ the Russian war machine will ground to a halt. No $$$ means, no payments to soldiers/ no money to manufacture tanks/ guns etc. Seems now Ukraine has drones size of small planes that can hit targets 2000-3000KMS inside Russia. So all of Putin's gas pipelines/ distribution terminals/ oil refineries are in range/ and no air defence systems Putin will blow a gasket. Can hardly wait for the Kerch Bridge to be ka-boomed! Almost 500K Russians so far paid the price for Putin's special military operation/ in materiel losses/ its 8-1 in Ukraines favor/ almost equal to German figures in "Great Patriotic War" Except this time/ Russia has no US/ Allied help.

 

They are already in receipt of some nice long range hardware. Stay tuned.
