I have long said if the Fed handled their affairs like I handle my office that we would have a budget surplus each year. I am ecstatic at the prospect of this forward thinking. It is long overdue and I wholeheartedly applaud our POTUS elect for this….. If they implement a five day a week 8-5 mandated office attendance I bet that alone would eliminate 50% of the fluff.
Today I learned: pay aside, leadership roles are more efficient with multiple people in equal power. Why don't we simply work towards maximizing efficiency and hire 5 more co-leaders willing to do it for free?
The Roman Republic was pretty efficient, run by two consuls. Of course, it was eventually toppled but considering this is just one department it's really not that deep. Also, considering they'll probably wipe out plenty of unnecessary departments and programs, I'm not too worried. Having two people in charge also plays an important role to make sure no one person has all of the power- they'll keep each other in check. I also just don't trust Elon, so that makes me more at ease personally.
No, just no. You didn’t learned a damn thing. I encourage you to look at just the H.R. employment charts for any department of government. That’s a good place to start. All these individuals are getting paid by taxpayers dollars, and many are still teleworking. Efficiency?

There's no ethical way to be a billionaire, and certainly no merit to it. It happens to those born in the right place at the right time, granted they don't mind some human exploitation. Do you think because they're so wealthy they deserve to lead? As a hypothetical, are you pro-oligarchy in that sense?
Simple answer is no. Everyone that prays isn’t called to pastor a church either. I know successful people and they are inherently thrifty people. Wealthy folks are terrible tippers….. Growing up we preached thriftiness as a moral standard. Then came along credit cards and easy credit and our nation has become a horribly indebted nation as a result. It is a burden that destroys families. That needs to change….. I don’t know the background of these men, but watching Trumps cabinet selections, I am confident that he is very in tune with selecting people that will advance his vision. And I strongly disagree that wealth is a function of good fortune. Some would consider me moderately wealthy. I would disagree but I have years and years of hard work to justify where I am. And I can assure you I had absolutely nothing when I began. Heck, I have an eighth grade education because I had to work instead of educate myself. Sure, some are handed wealth, but those are the exception.

Perhaps the life story of a Warren Buffet or similarly philanthropic billionaire would elicit a disbelieving yawn from you. As if it's not human exploitation to do no work and collect the monthly welfare check funded by the hard work of others, or take out college loans and then leave one's debt behind for others to pay . . . . I recognize wealth as a multifunctional outcome. 1 facet is definitely hard work. However, I don't think it's fair to conflate the general concept of "wealth" with that of a billionaire. There's no work that valuable. To put it in perspective, I'd feel pretty well off if I made $150,000/year. I might consider myself wealthy, a salary that requires a lot of qualification and hard work. At that wage, if I didn't spend a penny, I would only be around 3/4 of the way to being billionaire if I started my job right as the pyramids were being built. ~5000 years ago. Billions aren't earned, they're seized.
