Seems we are witnessing history in the making. Ukrainian prowess on the battlefield much like the wehrmacht/ Russians same story as in 43/ taking 1700+ losses each day/ plus materiel looses five times higher then Ukraine. Russian incompetence/ losses 25M KIA still came out on top. Reason/ Germany had to take on US/ British Empire and Stalins USSR.
Now in 2024/ Russia has no military aid coming in from Allies/ thus they have to go it alone with some ragtag North Koreans. Putin's war machine is costing 45% of the Russian GNP/ no money is available for fixing broken infrastructure/ even govt. workers are being fired.
Harken back to Reagan/ he bankrupted the old USSR by out spending on the military/ Ruusian could not match US. Rest is history/ fall of the Warsaw Pact/ Soviet Union.
Now/ the modern "Peter the Great" Putin thought he could "make Russia great again" First/ he crushed Georgia/ then annexed Crimea/ so far so good.
Then he launched full scale invasion of Ukraine/ boasting that by lunch time/ Ukraine would capitulate. In the meantime/ his 45 km column was annihilated/ had to retreat from Kyiv oblast/ then from Kharkiv oblast/ then Kherson. Although he occupies 18 % of Ukraine/ cost so far 709K KIA/ 10K tanks/ 23K armored personnel carriers/ 45K trucks/ 369 attack helicopters/ 1000+ aircraft included one destroyed by Ukraine drones/ 40K artillery pieces/ cost in 900+B-1.2T
Nevermind all the oil depots destroyed/ Black Sea fleet sunk/
Putin has bragged about taking back Alaska/ good luck with that Sarah Palin would have a field day with her Weatherby .340 magnum
Ukraine now is producing ultra long range precision missiles/ first target Putin's Black Sea palace
