    Hi,

right now I'm an agnostic-atheist, but I am open minded and would like to know if some god does exist.

I've only studied Christain and Judaism

Judaism and Christain (OT) does very well with science. then in Christianity, you get to the NT, and well, thats a different story

I haven't touched a Koran so I know nothing about that religion.

So, I ask, what are the evidence (since there is no proof) that your God exist?

I'm not trying to start an argument, I would just like to see if there is evidence that I have not yet seen or just may have ignored.

I simply look around and marvel at her or his creations. The Earth is truly a unique place in the Universe as evidenced by more and more scientific study of the 'Heavens' so-to-speak.

Maybe I'm an optimist and believe the bible, which BTW, is being proven to be true more and more accurate as our scientific research expands. Just look at the recent work at Göbekli Tepe in Anatolia. Some have said this is direct proof of the Eden myth. Either way someone built this before farming and even pottery were used, 9,500 BC, that's 11,500 years ago:

Absolute proof, no I'm not privy to that or we as mankind cannot comprehend which may be right infront of our noses. Herein may lie the answers you and everyone else is asking:

Lets turn it around a bit, what evidence have you that god dont exist :D it is all a matter of what you are willing to believe in, whatever the theory unless you want to believe, it can have holes poked in it

Anybody who has had a near death experience, or who has witnessed the power of prayer needs no proof. Don't know what else to say, it takes faith, there is no scientific proof, yet I have ZERO doubt.

In 1988 while on the road with my rock band, I "died" of a drug overdose in the hospital and was brought back. I have never had a doubt since........that sealed the deal for me solid as a rock.

Edit: I am now clean and sober, even quitting alcohol in Jan/07'

You can use science to prove the point. Matter cannot be created or destroyed. It is a scientific law, it can only change states. Dispite this fact, if you look around you, matter does exist. Apparently something more powerful than science created everything. I'm not going to try to push a specific entity on you, but "something" is out there.

I'm glad that you are still alive, for one.

But, I am not trying to take you away from your beliefs, but couldn't it just be that you got lucky?

I'm sorry, but some of us need more than "faith" to dedicate our lives and give away some things that we think are fun, just to hope we can get to heaven by this god who is hopefully their.

Ahem, again as plain as the nose on our face the obvious answer has been skipped over yet again. This mythical 'Great Year' and knowledge of a round Earth and Solar System (was identified and taught to students) as a time frame or period of enlightenment over 26,000 Earth years in length and extensively studied by numerous astrologers several thousand years apparently BEFORE the consensus navigational opinion/knowledge blossomed with the radical idea that the earth wasn't in fact flat, it was round, and (more astonishingly) instead rotated the sun.

The fear was eventually quelled in which sailing ships wouldn't fall off the edge when they disappeared over the horizon, etc... Where did these erroneous ideas come from? The opinions of such are as numerous as there are thinkers.

Believe me the Dark Ages and the (my opinion) Catholic Church wiped out more than the Roman Empire I'm afraid...

Now, it's being reproven that the heavenly observations of the Greek philosophers Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle were accurate but the mystery deepens as to where they (without KNOWN telescopes) acquired this information. Was it from the even older Celts who were the mercenaries of the Macedonians and Greeks or was it the Parthians who were always at war with them until Alexander (300BC or so) swept thru Western Asia?

Much information has been lost over the ages and now, we as the human race apparently have collective memory loss it seems. What a shame...

Perhaps God made an appearance long ago and provided us with instruction, but along with Moses' tablets they were lost or destroyed...

    Take Care

Evolution is NOT evidence that God doesn't exist. A lot of people will have you believe that the two can't co-exist, but that is hogwash. There is nothing to say that an all powerful entity didn't create the earth and then set into motion the events that would lead to evolution, and then to us having this conversation here. Where, pray tell, is your next bit of evidence?

There is 0 proof /evidence of ANY higher power. Faith is the process of believing in unreal things.

Couldn't it be argued that faith, in and of itself, is proof that God exists? We all believe in things that we cannot see, or that future generations will call unreal. It's the nature of existing in an ultimately finite world while pondering the infinite.

Anyone looking for absolute proof will never be satisfied.

Just look around and decide for yourself what is the right thing.

    Side thought:
If there wasn't a god (or God in the Judeo-Christian manner) then Bill could have run for a third term.

a lot of people say that, but I don't see how.

If death was because of Adams sin, then how did all the other animals die before him?, wouldn;t Adam also need a mother and a Father (which, from what we know, he doesn't)?

We maybe can't see all things, but we can either feel them or have scientific evidence that the invisible thing does exist (gravity)

I understand it requires some faith, so I'm not asking for PROOF.

All I'm asking for is evidence that Jesus could have existed, and if he did exist, was it scientifically possible that he could have resurrected after three days.

There is no Proof for any religion

List me among the folks that merely have to look around them to know that a Higher Power has to exist...every time I look at my 2 beautiful daughters...every time I take a deep breath...drink water, etc.

As far as Adam having a mother & father, God is his Father & God created Adam...those with faith accept these precepts, those without faith try to disprove them. I sure don't believe that I evolved from monkeys!! They have been trying to disprove the exististence of God for thousands of years yet they have not (not even to their own satisfaction for they keep trying). We believers, on the other hand, have been content in our beliefs the whole time.
I just can't imagine how gloomy my outlook would be if I didn't think there was something better awaiting me and giving me some direction on how to, at least attempt, to live a productive, well-rounded life.
