My friends aren’t people I judge from political or religious grounds. My friends are just my friends…… One of my better friends is a never Trumper so I don’t open that door with him. He is aware I am a die hard conservative. It’s OK. Today he breached the subject with me saying it looked like the orange monster would be POTUS and that it sickens him. The door was opened so I asked… Just what do you hate so much about the man? The response was rambling… The man was gross, mean, etc. etc….. I probed more deeply. If it were 1850 and you didn’t see the man daily on your TV, what would you have to hate other than his policies?… That piqued his interest so I asked further…. Do you eat as well as you did five years ago? Do you miss two dollar gas? He got the point and I bought his lunch so he would remain my friend…… But I believe my buddy is typical of the irrational hatred that so many feel. I would bet 75% of people that are never Trumpers can’t tell you why they feel that way.
Nail on the head, MD. Never Trumpers feel the way they do because they passively allow the media to tell them how they should feel, rather than analyzing the candidate's qualifications to do the job.
