That you consider Joe Biden a "Leftist"

Joe Biden had one of the most liberal voting records when he was in the Senate. For his time, he was “a leftist.” Now he’s just a placeholder for Harris until she becomes President within a year.

The eternal label the Right wing extremists use is no different than it has always been. They call every Democrat a Socialist. They think it hides the fact that they are Fascists. It doesn't. Same old Fascist tactics the Nazis used.

Not a fascist or extremist here. No, I do not consider Joe to be a leftist or an extremist. As an American I will support him as my president. I do however have one concern. I have never viewed Joe as a man firmly rooted in his convictions. He has frequently changed positions depending upon his audience or his peers. I do not know if the man had the strength of character to fend off the demands from extreme part of his party. I’ll be holding my breath in anticipation.

I know, not a Socialist here either but that doesn't seem to stop the Republicans/Trumpists from calling me one anyway. I've never met a genuine Socialist in my entire life. As an American, I will support any president that respects the Constitution and the laws of this country. I will not give blanket support to any president unless and until they have proven that they can keep their word, not just win an election.

I don't owe them that kind of unfettered loyalty no matter which party they hail from. They owe me the honesty of their words and if they fail that test, I will jump to my feet to call for their removal or at least work towards that goal. Given that we all know that politicians lie, lie some more, and then lie again, why would anyone fall in line behind someone that lied well enough to win the election and then went back on everything they said once they got in office? If when Biden was sworn in on January 21st and immediately said that he was going to outlaw unions, burn the national forests, and dump chemical waste in Yosemite, I wouldn't have supported him ever again from that moment on no matter how long he was in office. A politician is only as good as the last thing he or she did in my opinion. I obviously don't vote for people that would do something like that which is why I can't understand the devotion to Trump long, long after he proved who he really was. Respect for the office doesn't excuse a lack of vigilance on my part nor yours.

I can tell you what would keep me from supporting Joe Biden. If he allows corrupt politicians like Mitch McConnell to obstruct his agenda. I'm tired of ineffectual weak-knee Democrats hiding behind decorum and precedent. It's time to take the gloves off and punch these corrupt Republicans in the face. The people of this country deserve better than a bought and paid for congress.
