Hey guess what? Trump thinks his supporters are disgusting. And I quote: “I don’t like shaking hands with people,” Troye recalled the president saying. “I don’t have to shake hands with these disgusting people.”

'The WH is panicking':Ex-Trump official says president is freaking out about latest defection

    By Brad Reed

Olivia Troye, the former top Homeland Security aide to Vice President Mike Pence, came out on Thursday to endorse former Vice President Joe Biden in a devastating new ad that shredded President Donald Trump’s fitness for the presidency.

Miles Taylor, another former Trump national security official who has similarly endorsed Biden over his former boss, told CNN on Friday that Troye’s defection has the president sweating bullets.

“She is providing that firsthand testimonial that Donald Trump, on the most important national security issue of his entire presidency, was totally, totally checked out, to the extent that he was more focused on his re-election than he was on saving American lives,” Taylor said of Troye. “I think the White House is panicking here.”

Taylor also said that Troye would be far from the last former Trump official to speak out against the president in the weeks leading up to the 2020 election.

It was completely predictable that Trump would come out and say that he had no idea who she was and Pence would say that she is just a disgruntled employee. How many times have we heard that BS excuse from the clown posse?

Like at this point, even if they are a disgruntled employee, isn't it a problem in leadership that so many workers are disgruntled?

This woman is a Republican that can't stomach what she heard Trump say. She is a rare breed of Republican, one with courage.

Funny that most are not disgruntled until they are fired.

Please source that. I've only seen that she was let go. This from her direct supervisor:

The White House immediately pushed back against Troye's claims. In a statement, White House spokesperson Judd Deere called Troye "disgruntled" and said she "was never in private meetings with the president and her assertions have no basis in reality and are flat out inaccurate." Keith Kellogg, Pence's national security adviser, said Troye was "disgruntled that her detail was cut short because she was no longer capable of keeping up with her day-to-day duties."

"Ms. Troye directly reported to me, and never once during her detail did she every express any concern regarding the administration's response to the coronavirus to anyone in her chain of command," Kellogg said.

They have released her resignation letter because she walked out the door and said some positive things about her experiences as most people do when leaving a position for any reason if they are professionals. They have since insisted that she was "let go" which is what they always say even when we know that the people leaving have resigned. It's a Trump ego thing. He hates to be rejected but she definitely resigned about two months ago. You can look up her resignation letter online.

Can you source any of this stuff? Or do you intentionally do that because you know it's not there?

There is no "resignation letter", only a snippet from an email when she left. More sources point to her being canned than not.

So she gets canned, writes this gushing email praising the task force (probably in hopes that someone would at least give her a good reference) and now, months later, comes out with this (probably with a left wing wad of cash in her pocket).

    Sorry, I'm not buying it.

There are multiple articles online about her resignation letter. Believe whatever you want. I happen to know how the Google works and haven't had a problem finding references to her resignation letter at all.

When you get "canned", you always write a gushing resignation letter, right?

“In the end the Party would announce that two and two made five, and you would have to believe it. It was inevitable that they should make that claim sooner or later: the logic of their position demanded it. Not merely the validity of experience, but the very existence of external reality was tacitly denied by their philosophy.”

The fact that Ms. Troye resigned or didn't was certainly not the issue. It is a silly tangent but pretty much not the story here. The story is that she had direct interactions with Trump and has been nothing but responsible, professional, and a dedicated public servant that no one has ever had a reason to question. She couldn't tolerate the disease that is Donald Trump in her capacity as a dedicated public servant and went one step further in her dedication to the country by exposing the monster that Trump is. He has once again shown himself to be a callous, indifferent, incompetent grifter that cares about one thing and one thing only; Donald Trump. How many times do people with inside knowledge of Trump need to keep saying the same thing before a certain demographic develops a less favorable view of burning down this country because they feel like they are being left behind? I don't believe that they are all ignorant hicks, racists, and card carrying white supremacists, but locating the ones that aren't would be like finding a black person at a Trump Rally. The white grievance party does have actual beefs that need addressing like everyone else in the county but they continue to defend racists, refuse to listen to the black community's problems that are just as legitimate as theirs, and undermine their own credibility and certainly any sympathy they might deserve.

It's about owning the libs and their disgusting agenda. For a significant percentage of Trumpists, literally nothing else matters. Hatred and revulsion for progress in social justice that the country has made has them yawping about the horrible things. They're demanding an end to it. In fact, anybody who they think will reverse any and all of it will get their support. It it's a crudely autocratic grifter who thinks hundreds of thousands dead is "a great job," so much the better.

Is her own words good enough? If you can't find a way to twist this, and I'm sure that you can, then you fell for a bald faced lie. Whoever told you that she was fired lied to you. You shouldn't trust that source of yours. But, that has never stopped you before. If you have any kind of honor, you should admit that I was right about this. You may be as shameless as the GOP is in regards to the Supreme Court vacancies and I wouldn't be surprised. What would surprise me is you admitting that you believed a lie and then repeated it.

Would you please post the source you were using that made you believe that Ms. Troye had been fired? I would love to read the story or hear the comments myself. You obviously had some source that you were using. Again, please provide it for us.

Former COVID-19 Task Force Member Rebukes Claim She Was Fired
It’s “a bald faced lie,” Olivia Troye said.

A former member of the coronavirus task force who spoke out against President Donald Trump is denouncing her former boss’s claim that she’s merely a fired, disgruntled employee.

Olivia Troye, who was an aide to Vice President Mike Pence, defended herself Tuesday after retired Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg, Pence’s national security adviser, said he removed her from her positions.

“The reason I fired her is because her performance started to drop,” Kellogg said at a news conference Tuesday. “I’m the one who escorted her off the compound.”

Troye, who endorsed Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden last week because of Trump’s “flat out disregard for human life” during the COVID-19 pandemic, tweeted that Kellogg’s story is “a bald faced lie” and that she was actually asked to stay after handing in her resignation.

She also shared a screenshot of an August post on her Instagram account showing a coin Kellogg gifted her when she left the job. “This gift is not the action of someone who did what Kellogg claims he did,” Troye wrote.

Troye, who worked in Pence’s office for two years, made headlines Thursday when she went public with her concerns about Trump’s handling of the pandemic.

“The president’s rhetoric and his own attacks against people in his administration trying to do the work, as well as the promulgation of false narratives and incorrect information of the virus have made this ongoing response a failure,” she told The Washington Post.

Troye also spoke out in a video released by the group Republican Voters Against Trump, saying the president noted early in the pandemic that it was a good thing because he wouldn’t have to “shake hands with these disgusting people,” referring to voters.

Kellogg said Tuesday he’d never heard such remarks.

“What she has said I’ve never heard,” Kellogg told reporters. “What bothers me about what Olivia said is, by insinuation, the disparagement of the task force, the vice president, and the president of the United States.”

An interview Troye taped with NBC News is scheduled to be broadcast later Tuesday.

I have offered up the same evidence that you have. She said and he said. Why am I to believe what she says is the truth over what he says? The only reason you believe what she says without question is because you hate Trump. You think that the retired Lt. Gen. Kellogg is lying simply because you hate Trump. If Kellogg were fired or quit on his own accord today and started bad mouthing Trump, you would believe everything he said at that point as well simply because you hate Trump.

You accuse the conservatives of being "blind, dumb followers".............take a look in the mirror once.

These days, we all should take everything we read and hear with a grain of salt. That takes reasoning and common sense..............

Well, let's break that down a bit. There was no statement from either Trump or Kellogg or Pence until months after Troye left the Administration. All people involved are Republicans/Republican appointees. Troye is a loyal Republican but could not sit back and watch as Trump (your source), dishonored everything Ms. Troye believed in, a person that has a spotless record against a president that does nothing but lie constantly, shamelessly, provably. Troye isn't the only ex-administration insider to have come out and publically call Trump out for his corruption and lies. She is but one more in a long, long line of decent Republicans that have put the country over their own party. I'd say that the onus in on the liar-in-chief to prove Troye was fired. Something I haven't seen yet.

Let me ask you this in all seriousness. If you have to bet your pension on which person was lying, who would you bet against? The known liar or a person with no history of dishonesty?

I do hate Trump without a doubt but that is a gross oversimplification. It is a poorly attributed rationalization for all criticisms leveled at Trump. Lots of people hate Trump for very good reasons but that hardly invalidates all of their justifiable criticisms does it? He fits onto the GOP so well because he is every bit as corrupt as the Republicans themselves without the pretense of covering up his corruption. That is the only difference between the GOP and Trump himself. He is an overt racist, narcissist, liar, egomaniac, amoral, and dishonest to the core, in other words, everything the GOP has been all along but out in the open. But he is your source of truth?

    One more thing...

Your party has sold it's soul to the Devil, figuratively of course, but a deal with any devil is still a deal with evil. It never works out well history has shown and it won't workout well this time either. The Germans were enthralled with Hitler for nearly a decade and tried to take over Europe. The Devil is the Devil in the end.

This post reiterates your hatred. Never did I say that Trump was "my source" but yet that's the way you spin it in your hate filled mind. I am pointing out that this boils down to Kelloggs word against Troyes word and neither has given us evidence that proves anything.
  20. JoeNation

Let me quote you: "Why am I to believe what she says is the truth over what he says? The only reason you believe what she says without question is because you hate Trump. You think that the retired Lt. Gen. Kellogg is lying simply because you hate Trump."

Who were you referring to, Trump or Kellogg? It's had to tell from what you wrote. If it is Kellogg, Kellogg is only parroting Trump after Trump said that Troye was fired. Kellogg said nothing before Trump made his statement. So in reality, you are quoting Trump. Why do believe either Trump or Kellogg? Only because you support them blindly? It is an equally valid assertion to your claim that I hate Trump. You only believe them because you are a Trump supporter regardless of the truth. See how that works?

And again, hating Trump doesn't make me wrong and you right. If we could just drop the whole, "You hate Trump so everything you say is invalid line of reasoning", we can actually have a proper discussion.
