(cont'd) And Did You Know? Despite the characterizations of some, Obama’s success rate in winning congressional votes on issues was an unprecedented 96.7% for his first year in office. Though he is often cited as superior to Obama, President Lyndon Johnson’s success rate in 1965 was only 93%. http://n.pr/i3d7cY And of course… Despite the odds, became the first black president and then, was reelected by a wide margin.
Oh... and don't forget the nearly 20 trillion dollars in debt and the racial strife running rampant in our cities at a level unseen since the 1960s. And don't forget that we are now FORCED by our government to buy a product from a private corporation.
Duh, no kidding . . . and he put those policies in place just in the nick of time. Republicans were quickly put back in the driver's seat in Congress when the people saw Barack Obama without sheep's clothing. Almost all of the above policies are just that . . . retractable policies . . . not legislation. It's nearly all ill-conceived, rotten-to-the-core, stinking, maggot-infested mush that undercuts the authority of the representatives of the people. So little was accomplished by working traditionally with Congress in above-board fashion because what he advocated made no sense, and therefore could not garner cooperation across party lines . . . how presidential! The guy is a loser who was supported only by ignorant, ideologues with no grasp of reality . . . the same ones who are about to make the same monumental mistake.
Ahhhh, as a retarded right-winger here once said, and to paraphrase, "You haven't addressed any of the other points, meaning you accept that they are all facts".
I'll go slow enough for you to keep up. Here's the first point, from the article: "Within his first week, he signed an Executive Order ordering an audit of government contracts, and combating waste and abuse. http://1.usa.gov/dUvbu5" True, or false, and why? Additionally, would you consider combating waste and abuse in government contracts to be a good thing, or a bad thing, and why? Or is that too fast for ya?
Too fast for me? . . . nice try again. No, just as the federal government may neither force nor stipulate the employment of organized labor on contracted projects, it also should not prevent the contracted employer from protecting itself against the organization of its employees by external influence, and recovering the cost of that protection, as may become necessary. No, this was not a productive Obama accomplishment. It inherently increases the costs to government contractors who are targeted by organized labor, while preventing those costs from being passed on to the customer, creating an unlevel playing field in favor of the labor unions. Disguised as a waste preventing measure, this is a patently unfair executive order - a counterproductive one - released to placate the labor unions who supported Obama, knowing he'd owe them this favor. Next . . .
Of course I'm not in favor of corruption . . . but if that's the most intelligent response you can come up with, so be it. Every employer, in pursuit of a profit has the right to structure its charges as it sees fit. Costs of reproduction, communications, legal work, etc are a cost of doing business, and may be recovered, much the same as heat, electricity, insurance and taxes . . . as long as it is not violating law . . . LAW, GET IT? Obama's measly edict is little more than the paper-tiger's attempt at getting employers to buy into the notion that his bluff really has teeth. If they believe it, then it does . . . if they don't, and challenge it, they'll find out it doesn't.
No, like Obama protests to, I despise racism. However, I at the same time do not advocate that which he espouses, overcompensation of the under-performing. He knows how to make them feel better, but at the expense of everyone else . . . he lacks a truly global vision, but earnestly believes he's got it right. That is what I object to.
