This area of Miami rioted years ago. When asked by a news CNN reporter why they were burning businesses that suport and employ the neighborhood, a rioter responed, "Sometimes you have to do what comes naturally."
I can remember it like it was yesterday...Matter of fact, I had to watch the Headline News 30 minute loop again to make sure I heard what this punk said was his justification to riot! This was before the "no justice, no peace Rodney King" riots in L.A.
Anyways, this area is the "Watts" area of Miami and is known to pump out islamic hate for the local "brothers". Wanna bet that the media will avoid what religion these terrorists follow?
I rode my motorcycle up Avalon Blvd, through Watts, while the first Watts riot was starting. I was actually born in Watts. My family was driven out of Watts during the infamous "great white flight" of the early 1950s. The first Watts riot of 1967 was interesting. The National Guard was eventually called in, and believe it or not, they were issued live ammunition. An M-60 MG does wonders on an attacking 1954 Chevy.
The funniest thing I can remember was an incident when a middle-aged white lady from the suburbs called into an inner-city appliance store to inquire about her new television which had not yet been delivered. She spoke to a gentleman on the telephone who was at the store on that Saturday night (as I recall). She asked why her new televison had not been delivered. The man on the other end stated, and I quote, "Lady, I am a thief. There aint but one TV in this place, and it's mine!"
Rioters and looters just are not funny like that anymore.
I used to listen to a lot of R&B music in those days. You know, B.B. King, Jimmy Reid, Otis Redding, Sweet Aretha, etc. As sometimes happens, media events can take on a life of their own. There was an R&B disk jockey who went with the moniker "The Magnificient Montague". He used to say all the normal stuff, "lay your hand on the radio baby. Feel the vibes.", "Hold on and have mercy." His trademark radio statement, intended to emote over some particularly wonderful song, was "burn baby, burn!" Well, I suppose you know where that went. Rioters were screaming "burn baby, burn", and calling in to announce which stores, businesses, and homes they were burning at the time. The rioters focused on the businesses of persons they suspected to be Jews and Asians. Unlike the second Watts riot, the Rodney King affair, most of the rioters were black in those days. I believe that most of the rioters in the second burning of Los Angeles were Hispanic. Hispanic simpathy towards Rodney King was truly admirable.
Getting back to the Magnificient Montague, he was quickly identified by the community and authorities as the author of the phrase "burn baby, burn". Much scorn was heaped on MM. His response to R&B listeners was priceless. MM stated something to the effect that, "Since some of you seem to be setting fires down in Watts and calling my radio show with proclamations of 'burn baby, burn', we will have to dispense with saying 'burn baby, burn' on my radio show if you continue to burn stuff and use my words."(paraphrased) Like in Paris recently, the rioters eventually 'dispensed" with burning buildings. When the smoke cleared, several rioters had been killed by the police and national Guard and the largely white suburbs were armed camps. In those days, racial profiling was prominent and effective. Potential rioters were escorted by police through the white suburbs. The riots were confined to south-central Los Angeles. To this day, parts of LA were not rebuilt.
From the Drudge Reports:
Residents living near the warehouse said the men taken into custody described themselves as Muslims and had tried to recruit young people to join their group. Rose said they tried to recruit her younger brother and nephew for a karate class.
She said she talked to one of the men about a month ago. "They seemed brainwashed," she said. "They said they had given their lives to Allah."
Anybody shocked like I am??
This is becoming such a common occurance with these people that it isn't really news anymore! Only trust these people if the publically denouce islam and all of the hate passages of their terrorist handbook, the koran! Until then, you must be vigilant...
You just HAVE to!
Answer to the above
Need I say more?
What a great read!
It's the only way to fight these bas****s. It's the only thing these people understand. It just goes to show you that we have been fighting against islam since this country was founded and we will fight it for another 200 years
...if we can only survive the liberal PC crowd on how to fight a war against these animals.
Absolutely right Midas, way out here in the boon-docks it made page 14, and was written by the AP. No mention of any of their faith connections, and in fact made it sound as if it may just be a home grown boys letting off a little steam. After all, they concluded, no one was actually in any danger!
ROTFL, I believe they just called the group the SMOORs...
Give them what they want. Take them to the Sears tower and see if they can fly.
MSN just interviewed one of those members family and they said "brother "sunni" as he was known in the MOORS organization, was a good son and shouldn't be held in jail along with the rest of them. I guess they thought that by saying "he's a good church going Catholic" that it would get him a 'don't go to jail" card, or something. Like I said, just a bunch of loving, friendly, fun loving yourng men out to blow off a little steam.
I just watched the news on MSNBC and they fully disclosed that these guys are Muslims and black. Two guys had Haitian connections. There was no attempt to excuse their behavior or hide their identity. The news people made them out to be dangerous, at least by intention, but probably incompetent. I have no evidence and nothing was said, but I'll bet these guys were turned-in by some good Americans in the local community.
This sounds more like a money grab than a terrorist plot [so far]. An undercover agent goes into the hood by himself and offers a bunch of islamic financial near-do-wells a lot of cash in return for a promise to use it to blow something up. So they say yes. My guess is they planned to take the cash and kill their new terrorist banker friend. I'd be surprised if they thought it out much further than that. They probably would say or promise him just about anything to get the suitcase of cash. Maybe I'm stereotyping here, but my guess is that none of them have Swiss bank accounts.
Neither did the guy with the shoe bomb. It's not only the rich that carry out these acts.:goof:
Those are the ones making the videos and swinging the swords. These are the ones they convert and brainwash into strapping on the bombs.
Help me out here guys. I just dont fully understand something about all of this bomb, blowing up etc stuff. Now.. If in fact I believed that if I blow myself up and get the Martyr status, I get to go to Allah and he gives me Virgins correct? Why in the world would I be telling others to do it? Would I not as a male species want first crack (pun) at something like that? Another question, if in fact there are Virgins in Allahs garden, what do they do with them once they are no longer as such? And where in the heck are they all coming from to take care of all of these "cough cough" Martyr's....
LOL. Good questions Jim. It does seem odd that the leaders never blow themselves up and so easily convince someone else to do it. Maybe they are paying the ultimate sacrifice by staying here not getting to meet Allah and missing all those virgins. Good thing there are people that give them the satisfaction and send them on their way early.
Time will tell, but this looks like a bunch of losers trying to make a fast buck, not a group of deeply religious fanatics determined to kill themselves. We'll have to see how it plays out.
this may have been what the 22 year old black in Denver was thinking this week end when he went into his place of employment and shot up the place. His sister was interviewed and made the statement that he was a good boy and never did anything wrong. He came into the house and said good by to her and his mom and then went out and entered the storage facility where he worked. Oh ya, he had just joined the, you know what rerligion, a couple of months ago and had been reading their rag they call the koran. Where do these good boys get their ideas of killing devils. His words as he fired the shots.
If we start arresting everyone in sight as long as someone can make the case that there is a 1% chance that they will otherwise commit a crime, where does that leave the republic? We can't win a war by voluntarily losing it at home. We can't stop terrorism by becomming terrorists. Tough cases make bad law, as the old saying goes. First, they'll get "them." Then they'll come for me. Eventually they'll come for you. It's the stuff of dictatorship. Liberty can be messy at times.
Do you think he will be charged with a HATE crime? Oh, I forgot...hate crimes are only leveled if you are white and Christian.
