You can't make crap up like this, nobody would believe it. A TSA agent, named Alija Abdul Majed, (yea, that's right, Alija Abdul Majed), "forgot" to plug in the metal detector that all airports use for basic screening of passengers. Countless passengers made it through before anyone noticed, or thought to wonder why not a single passenger got buzzed at that day. http://m.nypost.com/p/news/local/queens/unplugged_tsa_airhead_triggers_jfk_kKxMANCPErCWn6KLfDbbVI Anyone who thinks the TSA is providing any security at all for us is a retard. It's just another colossal waste of our taxpayer dollars, and not only doesn't make us safe but violates our human rights to boot.
The last time I flew I went to Arizona. Stayed with some guy named Jack and his wife. Yes, THAT Jack. Had a great time by the way. Lovely people. This was pre TSA. On my return trip I kept setting off alarms. I was taken aside at the Phoenix airport for "security" reasons by some very polite folks and informed that I was going to be "patted down". I had no objection but did warn them if I started to laugh it was because I'm ticklish. The ONLY thing I WAS concerned about was the $3000 cash I had in my pocket. Jack and I had gone to a coin show and the 3K belonged to my boss actually. What would they think of that? Well, they never said a word about it. Since then I have had the pleasure of talking to one of our customers at the shop who was taken aside by TSA where they questioned why he had $10K on him after they had counted it out in front of dozens of onlookers. He was going to Vegas. Hellllloooooo...... In my pre TSA adventure we NEVER figured out why I was setting off the alarm. Faulty wiring? I was allowed to board the plane. I didn't blow it up or even cause any type of trouble whatsoever. I seriously wonder how this would have gone with the TSA. Or are they the GeTSApo?
...Always welcome back, Dan. I think the most enjoyable part of your trip ( for me at least ) was driving you thru the mountains of southern AZ and sharing the scenery with you......I know it was your first trip thru AZ, and I get that same look of awsomenes from everybody that first drive.
The TSA responisbilites should be a military responsibility be it National Guard or active service for those to wounded or old for combat and do not want to be discharged or the very least para-military. The TSA is a joke at best and at worst can either be comprised or abused on a daily basis.
