Before this time, USA should have been looking forward to replacement of shuttle. Technology is complicated and now 30+ yrs old. Two accidents result in loss of 13 astronauts. Russia/USSR had accidents long ago, now almost 40 yrs ago. But none result in loss of cosmonauts since then. Because equipment is easy to maintain and last long time. Mir is example of space vehicle which got too much press for problems, but it built to last 2 yrs, not 20 yrs. USA space shuttle built for 25 yrs, and last not that long.
Hopefully it was some sort of Anti-Islamo Fascist Space Bomb we dropped into space so that we can use it to track and kill the terrorists with.
LMAO... I still can't quite get used to calling an Islamic Muslim terrorist a facist. It reminds me of the spin the press used when the Serbs (Christians) were being over-run by the Ethnic Albanians (Muslims) a few years ago. Nobody wants to use the term MUSLIM anymore for fear it will upset someone... OOPS, we're talking Space Shuttle here.
