That is more of "the opposition" than MSNBC ever bothered to show.

I shall translate Mr. Ricks' comments to FOX, for clarity's sake:

    (clears throat)

"All you people, acting like you give a crap about other people, you all suck. Get bent, you worthless pieces of human-trash."

Is that "I" or "Maxi"? One soaks up a lot of disgusting stuff...the other is used almost exclusively by women.

I'm a regular viewer of Fox News, but I missed that interview (not a surprise; it's not likely they'll be replaying it, either). I'd describe it as good clean fun. I imagine the director of the show frantically signalling the anchor by repeatedly slashing his finger across his throat. Thank you for posting it, JoeNation!

If you liked that, you should see the interview Ricks did after Fox claimed that he apologized. Here is the statement Ricks put out that kind of captures the flavor of Rick's denial that he apologized.

UPDATE: 6:20 p.m. -- Ricks emailed Clemente on Tuesday afternoon to clarify that he did not apologize after his interview with Fox News. See a copy of his email below:

    Mr. Clemente,
To clarify my comments for you: I did not apologize.
As it happened, I ran into Bret Baier as I emerged from the interview. We know each other from working at the Pentagon. He asked if I was serious in saying that Fox had hyped Bengahzi, and I said I was. We discussed that. It was cordial exchange. (I wouldn’t mention this private conversation except that you apparently are quoting my hallway conversations as part of your attack.)
Later, as I was leaving, the booker or producer (I am not sure what her title was) said she thought I had been rude. I said I might have been a bit snappish because I am tired of book tour. This was in no way an apology but rather an explanation of why I jumped a bit when the anchor began the segment with the assertion that pressure on the White House was building—which it most clearly was not.
    Best,
    Tom

From the FOX point of view, Ricks is probably unAmerican...or even a traitor...who, through his ignorance, is helping to destroy America. As such, he's now on their hit list, and they'll do everything they can to discredit him, one way or another.

I would have liked to have heard them say that the day these (Republicans) started this idiotic attempt to fool people into questioning the Democrat's handling of this incident, but better late than never. The entire episode is an excellent example of how the (Republican's) control what people should think via repetition and bellowing.

The only way Democrats have a chance at succeeding in reversing this trend is by giving the American public the facts about a particular issue whenever some douche (Republican) spews his/her vomit at people, and by bellowing those facts louder than the (Republicans) can.

IMO, we're at the tipping point, or very near it. I don't say that lightly. We still have SOME time to turn this downward trend down, but I wouldn't say we have decades. With taxes and assisted living being attacked as unAmerican, our infrastructure is being allowed to decay and our seniors are being forced to live on less and less.

It's like (Republicans) want us to revert to 19th century living standards. Roads? They apparently don't need 'em. "Grow your own food, you lazy bastards!" Bridges? Why bother? "Use a boat." Electricity? "Candles, as GOD intended!" Water and sewage systems degrading? "Nature will take care of that." Old people? "Eh, 45 is a good age to die."

It seems that every time one of the Fox/GOP lines of attack is countered with the actual facts of the situation, they simply move on the to the next line of attack and their zombie minion don't even bother keeping up with the talking points that have already been disproven. For example, their first line of attack was that Susan Rice lied in her testimony to congress. When the intelligence community came out and said, no, we provided the intelligence to Rice that she conveyed at the hearing, their line of attack changed to, well, certain points were changed to eliminate references to Al Qaeda by the Obama Administration. The intelligence people again said no, we changed those points for national security reasons so then it became, well Susan Rice should have had her own intelligence as the ambassador to the U.N. So their criticism comes down to Rice somehow was supposed to have better intelligence than the CIA and that their criticism of Rice goes through more of an evolution than the Libyan attack itself. A rolling criticism is nothing more than a witch hunt by any other name. This is the basis of the criticism that Fox and their shills on the Right are trying to convince us of.

So let me follow you rant. Obama has been boasting al Qaeda is beheaded and powerless, yet we have our first ambassador in 30+ years along with 3 others kill representing our interests. All 4 were positively killed by an al Qaeda planned attack just as Fox had been airing. You have Obama, Clinton, Rice, Carney, and others of the administration saying it was not al Qaeda, but due to a demonstration protesting film unknown in Libya for 2+ weeks. You have the CIA admitting or denying they changed the talking points Even the Obama news groups putting a total blackout on proper coverage. Yet somehow you seem to think Fox has done something wrong. You go for it!

This proves how naive and clueless Fox has made you. Al Qaeda isn't an entity that acts as one cohesive organization, it is an ideology that anyone can claim as their own. If a disseffected middle eastern youth decides to blow up a public place and claims he is acting for Al Qaeda, we then have people like you that are dumb enough to turn on your own president and say that he lied. You might as well send this torrorist financial support along with furthering his twisted cause because people like you only add harm to an already sick ideology and you're basically too damn dumb to even see what your own actions are doing thanks to the Messiah of Fox so called News you worship.
