I don't usually care to post pics of these people, but... Dr. Ernest Moniz - Secretary of Energy ...this guy looks like he, at one time or another, owned slaves. A real old-school look he's got goin' on there, a really really old school look lol http://energy.gov/contributors/dr-ernest-moniz The only way to reduce nuclear danger is to get rid of what we have and never make more of it. That isn't going to happen, of course, so sooner or later you can expect another major event like Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, and Fukishima. Don't forget the Bikini Atolls/Islands and the American Southwest and the fall-out from that chit too. Those events are less likely now, but are still a danger. I used to support nuclear energy, but I eventually recognized that as a mistake, as I learned more and more about how we are harnessing it. It's definitely a "Pandora's Box" though, and as such, we're boned lol
Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric K. Shinseki http://www.va.gov Please tell me he wasn't one of those generals that went to Afghanistan or Iraq for five minutes, to collect combat bonuses, then retired. (sighs) Uh huh. Well, at least he had a long career before retiring, so maybe I'm just being a penis lol
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet A. Napolitano http://www.dhs.gov About: Nearly a quarter million people, but that's what it takes. Honestly, I consider that number to be too low. Catching people bent on violence before they can act is an extremely difficult job...IMO, it's next to impossible. That they have been so successful is also a thankless task, for as soon as someone succeeds, as in the Boston Marathon bombings, the department immediately feels the heat of ignorant people mouthing off about how they failed. Thankfully, most of the blame is taken by Obama, since he's everyone's favorite punching bag, and the department appears to be enjoying at least some respect among most people. You can always count on Obama, to take the brunt of the attacks lol
White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough I didn't see the duties of a WHCoS listed, so I went to wiki to clarify it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_House_Chief_of_Staff
Once again, for people who may not know about it or understand the issue, I explained that I was suffering from heart attacks, and asked CoinOKC to stop harassing me in this manner....and ever since, he does this shit. From my point of view, he's a dick.
I'll rephrase the purpose of this thread, for the ignorant: I do not know enough about the Cabinet, and even less about the people who comprise it. To learn more about both, I decided to do some research, and then post my findings here, for others to read and learn from that. I began with sanitized information, and there is a considerable amount of it available. Typically, this is basic information about what the department does and who is in charge. The information I've provided so far is a very very small percentage of the information that I can find, but my time and energy is limited, so I decided to go with basic info, with the hope to add more relevant information (and or current events) at a later point in time, or as it happens. Is this parroting? To a certain extent, yes. But, IMO, it isn't since this is basic information and not political in nature. I'm not repeating a party-line, I'm presenting basic information. An ignorant person may have difficulty in understanding the difference.

With no disrespect intended, you people are pretty tame in your flame-wars. I'm not. If I decide to flame about this issue, you can expect Pete to close the site permanently.
