Al Qaeda Spokesman Instructs Terrorists To Stock Up At Local Gun Shows

In a video released today Al Qaeda spokesman Adam Gadahn encourages terrorists to use American gun shows to arm themselves for potential Mumbai-style attacks. Gadahn's video laid out a new tactic for Al Qaeda to continue their murderous terrorist agenda:

America is absolutely awash with easily obtainable firearms. You can go down to a gun show at the local convention center and come away with a fully automatic assault rifle, without a background check, and most likely without having to show an identification card. So what are you waiting for?​

At gun shows buyers can purchase guns from private sellers without passing a background check. An investigation by the City of New York showed that even buyers that identified themselves as people who "probably couldn't pass a background check" were able to purchase guns at gun shows. The investigation also showed the wide variety of guns available at gun shows.

In addition, people on terrorist watch lists are not forbidden from purchasing guns and many have done just that. Gadahn's instructions come in the wake of Associated Press reporting that showed that more than 200 people with suspected terrorist ties bought guns legally in the United States last year. Following the AP report Representative Mike Quigley introduced an amendment to the Patriot Act that would give the Attorney General the authority to block gun sales to individuals on terror watch lists. The amendment was voted down.

 

Yaaaa for freedom! It might get us blown to bits, but by golly, we're free.

 

I thought the surface reason the left wanted gun control was to prevent school shootings? And I thought the Al-Queda weapon-of-choice was homemade bombs?
Me thinks the gun banners are starting to reach for straws.

 

Might be true if there weren't a video on AJ News with an AQ member telling his followers to BUY GUNS. Conservatism is no excuse for blindness.

I hate to be the one that said I told you so after the next attack, but thats all that seems to get through sometimes.

 

The use of weapons in this country is not limited to just criminals, mass shooters, psychopaths, Right-wing extremists, militias, border vigilantes, neighborhood watchers, South-side Chicago teenagers, suicide victims, domestic abusers, drive-by shooters, and kids that find them in their own homes, ... Terrorists find them useful as well.

Thank you gun manufacturers! As in Masters of War. Is your money that good? Could it buy you forgiveness? Do you think that it could?

 

Ooooooh, terrorists with guns! Whoda thunk it? They wouldn't have even thought of it if you hadn't opened your mouth! Now, look what you've done!

 

I would a lot rather they have guns than talks with North Korea, control over Syria (and their sarin), assess to Libya's stashes, etc. And then there is Iran waiting to make up all the shortfalls.

 

Yaaa-AH!

Apparently gun deaths are their preferred type of terrorism. I just prefer less terrorism over caving into the paranoia of a minority of this country's Right-wing terrorists.

So it basically comes down to our foreign policy making foreign extremists hate us and wanting to do us harm and our local Right-wing terrorists hating our domestic policies and wanting to do us harm by making sure that our society is awash is high-powered weapons. And the weapons manufacturers are just happy to supply one and all with all of the best weapons they can sell. Hum? Sucks to be us eh?

 

Do you notice that it doesn't seem to bother our local Right-wingers that they are actively supplying the weapons to foreign terrorists to attack this country? I'd say that they are soft on terrorism not to mention soft in the head.

 

Outlaw pressure cookers, too. That's a new weapon of choice for terrorists. Guns? Not so much. I think if terrorists want to get us, they're going to use bombs and airplanes (and now pressure cookers) instead of a Beretta.

 

Really? What type of pressure cooker did they use to shoot the MIT officer with? I must have missed that. Acceptable to you? Of course it is.

 

Do we know where the gun came from? Apparently, based on police reports, he didn't buy or own the gun legally.

 

Internet and gun show purchases are not traceable. We may never know where they got the gun but then again the NRA has made sure that is the policy.

 

Neither are illegal transactions conducted in back alleys. You, better than anyone here, should know the trouble with speculation.

 

Well, actually they killed more people with their pressure cookers than they did with their gun. Is it acceptable to you that they used pressure cookers? Of course it is.

 

WOW! Bill Clinton's foreign policy really must have sucked - it was under his policies that Bin Laden both planned and organized 9/11. Then there was Obama and Nidal Hasan and Boston. OOPS! It sounds like you want the Bush policies back!
