Conservatives blame gays for OK storm

Fred Phelps Jr, son of the Baptist pastor who gives voice to the views of millions of Conservative Christians blamed gays (and God) for the recent massive tornado in Oklahoma. The day after the storm Phelps Jr. tweeted, "OK Thunder's Durant flips God by praising fag Collins. God smashes OK. You do the math." The Phelps family and the church they lead are widely respected on the Right for their support of traditional marriage and their uncompromising opposition to the homosexual agenda.

    Are you a Christian?

It's a simple yes or no question.

How does this question relate to this thread?

There are only "two possible scenarios". If you're a Christian the Phelps's speak for you, if you're not, they don't.

    Are you a Christian?

What?!! So if you are not a Christian, then Hitler speaks for you? Really?

That is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard you say, Takiji. Only I speak for myself. Who speaks for you?

Phelps definely a loon. Blaming this disaster on global warming i.e. climate change is clearly backed by like 98 percent of climatologists. How does that make Whitehouse a lunatic? Republicans deny climate change and carry the water for the industries that are doing most of the polluting. Therefore calling out Republicans for this disaster isn't a real big stretch. Is that so hard for you to see? Take off your partisan blinders and see what is actually truth and what is just spin.

Oh come on! According to your Brofriend little Davy, all Democrats are hero worshipping Gosnell because every Democrat is a rabid abortion supporter.

Ninety-eight percent of climatologists blame this tornado on "climate change"? In other words, "climate change" is to blame for this specific tornado?

Do you know how ridiculous you sound? You (nor anyone else) have no proof that this tornado was caused by "climate change" (or global warming or anything else you want to call it). Tornadoes have been a part of Oklahoma from the beginning which was a long time before you and your "climate change" conspiracy theorists started touting it in their liberal agenda. We're called "Tornado Alley" for a reason and it's not because of so-called "climate change". I knew you were dumb, but I didn't realize just how dumb until you spouted your stupid theory above.

Tornadoes are as ubiquitous in Oklahoma as wind is in Chicago. And, believe me, there is a LOT of wind coming out of Chicago and it's not caused by "climate change".

So you are saying that there has been no increase in the number and severity of tornadoes? Are you really willing to stand by that assertion? Hum? Your simpleton explanation is about as dumb as most Right-wingers so at least you are consistent with your ilk. Just because you don't understand the science and can't explain it, doesn't make it untrue. Simpleton might actually be a step up for you. Anyone can tell that the weather has undergone major changes over the last few decades. Larger tornadoes, more frequent and larger hurricanes, 100 year rain storms every couple of years, droughts, record setting temperatures year after year, melting glaciers worldwide, and just plain highly volatile weather patterns. These are more than mere anecdotal observations, there is plenty data to back up global warming but I guess if the oil companies want you to believe differently, well, they certainly are an unbiased source. I’m going to go with the 98 percent of climatologists and you can go with the Koch brothers.

Isn't that the same extremist anti-gay wacko that pickets dead soldier funerals?

I would suspect a majority of Christians feel about those nutjobs the same way that a majority of Muslims feel about Al-Queda.

Wait a few days, and maybe someone with republican ties will claim Obama did it. I love it when they do that, btw...it just makes Obama's points that more convincing when your opponents are too busy creating fiction instead of working towards a better life for Americans.

Eh, I have republican ties, so... "Obama did it! God said to me this morning that he didn't 'get' gays and that caused him to accidentally fart, but she isn't worried 'cause it was just Oklahoma."

    (wipes tear)

I'm so happy...that God hates Oklahoma so much more than the U.P. I mean really, what does a God eat? Whatever it is, it's not really good for any of us, anywhere, when it lets one rip.

Uhm!! We just set a record for the longest spell without a tornado ending early this year. Oh, and the 1925 tornado killed 695, was on the ground for 219 miles and 3 1/2 hours. There has been nothing like it since. So I definitely think tornadoes are not increasing in number and severity.

I don't know how you're rating tornadoes, but none were rated F5 before 1950. That's not because of the severity or frequency of them, but because of engineering data. Have you calculated that into your equation to figure out the "number and severity" of tornadoes? I doubt it. You've never been good at math.

How can you even make such a statement when the rating system has changed so dramatically within the last 63 years? Tornadoes aren't even ranked as "F" anymore. They're ranked on the Enhanced Fujita (EF) scale which was enacted in 2007 which gives a more accurate reading of their severity. So, the data collected in the past umpteen years doesn't even calculate correctly.

So when you're talking about the severity of tornadoes and how they relate to so-called "climate change" or "global warming", you're just talking out of your ass again.

Moron Joe doesn't know what the hell he's talking about, RLM. He's so plugged into the liberal agenda, he will believe any lies that support his non-sensical beliefs.

People already have. Or at least they've blamed the government for it, which in their mind is the same thing. There's a secret program which they have uncovered... I'll post a link later. Too many other things to do this morning.
