That would certainly be a simpleton's view, wouldn't it? In my 20+ years in "business" I never had the experience of a company wanting to reduce payroll simply because they were growing or as a way to "incease profits". Actually, your assertion is counter-productive to sustained growth & profitability...but I wouldn't expect someone who puts so much effort into avoiding employment to understand. Now, are there times when wages within a certain business outrun the market & pose a threat to long-term success? Sure...the US auto industry being the prime example there. But to say a business is properous, profitable & experiences growth only by reducing payroll is simply STUPID.

If, as the President says, a law passed by both Houses of Congress and signed into law by the President should NOT be changed/adjusted, do you think that should apply equally to the Debt Ceiling law? The Debt Ceiling law was passed by both Houses of Congress and signed into law by the President. In your estimation, which laws should we follow and which should we ignore?
