1. Pay sovereign debt 2. Pay the military 2. Pay back the money Liberals stoled from annuity/insurance programs (aka. Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid) 4. Prioritize everything else and stop when tax receipts run out ...GREAT!!!
Any liberal will tell you that's it's only paper. And after all, doesn't the government own the printing presses. Why couldn't we print a trillion more and buy-out, er, I mean bail-out the poor and down trodden. What they don't understand, is that's it's hard to get paper and there's a reason for it. They blame the evil profiteers like oil companies who skim 10 cent a gallon on gasoline and ignore the 50 cents a gallon tax. They don't understand what profits are and have never run a company, or realize that the boss is the last to be paid. In their idealistic workers paradise, machinery never needs replacing, toilet paper never runs out, and the heat and air flows as free as the wind. Cash reserves are simply there for upper management to wallow in and don't have a clue as to what backs their salaries in a down cycle, or pays the light bill. As they say, Money is Time and ours is running out. To make it last you have to choose priorities. Give a man a fish, and he is dependent for life. Teach a man to fish, and you have just lost a progressive voter.
Here's the think BJ, when you try to speak for others, but only end up putting your own beliefs in their mouths, all you're really doing is stating your opinion in a dishonest, self-serving, poorly articulated, pointless rant more fitting for the space just above the urinal than in the online public domain. But who knows, maybe you were just transcribing. Don't forget to shake. Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day and most likely starve to death thereafter.Teach a man to fish and he'll catch more fish than he needs, sell the excess for profit, over fish the waters and cause the fish to become extinct.Teach a man to grow his own fish, share with his neighbors, and the community and everyone does well. What would Jesus do you Christians?
You do realize that the money in question here is all money that was approved already by congress and spent? It's just a matter of paying the bill when it comes in at this point. No extra money is being spent. So talking about the debt is really just moot.
That's the POINT...now you're starting to "get it"!! STOP APPROVING...STOP SPENDING!! (aka. "Investing")
I think a rant has to have at least 150 words. Maybe I'm just making that up. Maybe it's true. Maybe pigs fly in the Right-wing alternate universe. I'm probably not visiting that place anytime soon....Or ever.
If you ever served in the military (or anyone other than yourself), you would know that there are two (2) kinds of discipline, "self" discipline and "imposed" discipline. Liberals/Progressives clearly have no "self" discipline...so we'll have to "impose" some. Afterall, that's the purpose of the debt ceiling and the Sequester...to impose discipline if government can't come to an agreement on how to do it themselves. We throw away nearly half a Trillion Dollars just to service Liberal/progressive excess. We're not even discussing the $90 Trillion Dollars of unfunded liabilities...money that Liberals/Progressives stole from the various trust funds!! Imagine how much good we could do for "actual" US Citizens if we didn't have to throw away all this money to service the debt... Interest Expense Fiscal Year 2013 September $19,843,542,012.01 August $25,487,831,947.93 July $25,076,777,459.95 June $93,031,790,187.97 May $24,378,480,861.09 April $35,951,751,963.63 March $23,472,400,737.30 February $16,901,310,565.17 January $17,816,590,831.57 December $95,736,594,801.52 November $25,068,968,472.99 October $12,922,741,407.27 Fiscal Year Total $415,688,781,248.40
We are being forced to raise the debt ceiling to pay the bills we've already incurred. We incurred these debts by spending money we didn't have. Now we are being forced to raise the debt ceiling again in anticipation of incurring more debt because we continue to spend more than we have? Can you say Viscious Cycle? When does it stop? When is enough enough? It isn't responsible for people to live this way, why should it be okay for our gov't?
Yes I'm sure you are the best judge. So Bush giving 2 massive tax breaks to the rich in the midst of an unfunded war in Afghanistan and another in Iraq and then another unfunded Medicare Part D program to win the elderly vote in his second term and running up the debt 5 trillion dollars is your idea of fiscal responsibility? Well go Conservatives!
Who said I support progressive RINOs? Adjusting a broken tax code is no solution, either. The best President for the Rich is Obama...his Quantitative Easing (QE) makes the Rich richer at the expense of retirees on fixed incomes. Where's the social justice in that?
Bush didn't do anything other repukes wouldn't do in a heartbeat. The lie you tell yourself is that the next repuke will behave differently. He won't. The two Santa Claus theory goes like this: When a Democrats is in the White house, scream about the deficit/debt. When a Republican is in the White House, spend like crazy. Look all the way back to Reagan and this scenario has played out again and again. If you were actually worried about spending, you'd look at the data and never vote repuke again. So I can't really take you seriously on the whole deficit/debt issue. View attachment 2021 Now who you gonna vote for?
Wow...all this time you've never listened. I support Conservatives of BOTH parties and oppose Progressives of BOTH parties. It just happens that there are more Conservatives in the Republican party than the Democratic party. If those are my only two choices, I side with the Republicans, but certainly don't support any of their "progressive" policies. Why not make your graphs large enough to read? You'll notice that Conservatives take the "pain" and Democrats reap the rewards. Given that pattern, Obama should be running a surplus, but instead he's running us into the ground! Please try to respond without using the word "inherited". The economic crisis was created by the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Progressive "social engineering". Bush just passed the wars along from Clinton. Obama's in his second term...when will he "Man Up" and become a Leader?
Republicans are like the arsonist that starts a highrise ablaze and then sticks around to criticize the way the fire department is putting it out.
Maybe just maybe the Bush recession figures in here since GDP plummeted? Never mind, I know you can't acknowledge Bush existed. Or that Obama has decreased the deficit faster than any president in like 60 years. View attachment 2022
Bush recession!? How about calling it what it was... "the Dodd, Frank, Schumer recession". They're the ones that made Sally-Mae and Freddie-Mac buy all those bad CRA loans...then used the "progressive" Mark-To-Market regulation to drive CDOs to zero. Notice how GDP instantly snapped back in April 2009...once the Mark-To-Market regulation was reversed? If you don't understand economics (or what you're talking about), why not keep quite until you do?
