Who comprises the U.S. Government, Democrats or republicans?

If you say one or the other, you are a @#$%ing idiot, as both Democrats AND republicans control the government.

This means that when one party really really hates something, they sabotage it. No single party can crate and operate a system effectively when their opponents "across the aisle" decide to put impediments into the processes within those systems.

Security expert -- and once the world's most-wanted cyber criminal -- Kevin Mitnick submitted a scathing criticism to a House panel Thursday of ObamaCare's Healthcare.gov website, calling the protections built into the site "shameful" and "minimal."

In a letter submitted as testimony to the House Science, Space and Technology Committee, Mitnick wrote: "It's shameful the team that built the Healthcare.gov site implemented minimal, if any, security best practices to mitigate the significant risk of a system compromise."

Mitnick's letter, submitted to panel Chairman Lamar Smith, R-Texas, and ranking member Eddie Bernice Johnson, D-Texas, held comments from several leading security experts.

Mitnick concluded that, "After reading the documents provided by David Kennedy that detailed numerous security vulnerabilities associated with the Healthcare.gov Website, it's clear that the management team did not consider security as a priority.

Are you saying Republicans wrote the code for the Obamacare Website?

 

Most government employees are NOT exclusively from one party or the other, they are mixed, politically. They are career employees who stay employed by the government even when their political opponents gain power.

That means that laws are subject to sabotage from within. The more complicated the law, the easier it is to sabotage.

CNN recently obtained a copy of a House Republican strategy memo released late last month titled, “Because of Obamacare… I lost my insurance.” Referred to as the Republican Obamacare “playbook”, the memo contains samples for everything from talking points, social media, op-eds, videos… you name it, including a “fact” sheet for Republican lawmakers fighting the Affordable Care Act.

First reported by Roll Call, a GOP source responsible for providing the strategy memo to CNN stated that it would be updated as of Thursday.

“The administration now has a serious competence problem. Healthcare.gov is so much more than a website. The website should have been the easy part,” a portion of the playbook reads. The conservative angle present in even that small section should come as no surprise. Republicans have been quite clear and vocal about their disdain for the Affordable Care Act.

The playbook was drafted by the office of House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers amid a Republican fairytale regarding the stumbled roll-out of the Affordable Care Act. President Obama noted at a Wall Street Journal event last Tuesday, speaking to some of America’s top CEO’s, “One of the problems we’ve had is one side of Capitol Hill is invested in failure.”

White House spokesperson Eric Schultz echoed President Obama, stating that the Republican “18 page playbook of partisan attacks is 18 pages longer than their health care plan.” He went on to say, “There’s not a single word devoted to helping constituents enroll or offering an alternative idea to help Americans gain access to quality, affordable care.”

Democrats plan to continue supporting the Affordable Care Act a spokesperson for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi affirmed.

“While Republicans continue to fixate on sabotaging health reform and root for failure, House Democrats will continue to stand tall in support of the Affordable Care Act, work to strengthen the health reform law as implementation continues, and ensure that millions of uninsured Americans get coverage,” Drew Hammill stated.

Blind party politics is nothing new, but the Republican Obamacare “playbook” demonstrates the new depths of cynicism and partisanship of Republican efforts to sway the American perspective and dialogue.

Be sure to watch for similar Republican practices on every other important issue. You can bet nothing is done without a playbook at the ready.

 

And the Democrat's playbook is to shovel as much BS as possible. After you can keep your insurance, it will be cheaper, etc., now they cannot even tell the truth about enrollment.

BTW, 270,000 would be a lot closer guess, but since the present Obamacare web does not have a method of determining how many have really paid a cent, any number is a guess.

 

The Democrats don't actually have a playbook. They have a law. IT IS THE LAW OF THE LAND. The party invested in failure, the party that never had an alternative plan, the party that has long since abandoned repeal and replace with just repeal, the party that is losing more and more people every election, is losing this ideologically motivate battle and losing badly. They never seem to give up on a stupid idea.

Why wouldn't they want to deliver the truth...get it out there? Heaven knows what we get from the administration doesn't resemble truth.

 

This has nothing to do with truth and everything to do with an investment in failure for the Right-wing. They lost the battle on the congressional level, they lost the battle in the courts, and the only battle left to them is the battle of public opinion and they are well on their way to losing that also. All they can do at this point is lie, obstruct, and sabotage. It was exactly the same during the Social Security battle of the 1930's. It was exactly the same in the Medicare battle in the 1960's. It is exactly the same today and they are even using the same arguments they used in their previous losses. They lost both previous battles and they will lose this one too. History just isn't on your side.

Dolt! I wasn't comparing parties, I was comparing policies. The people that fought against both Social Security and Medicare were more likely to be the wealthy. If anything, I was talking about class but I guess we all know who owns the Right-wing. I understand your confusion/admission in this instance.

Republicans lie? You mean like forecasting millions are really going to lose their insurance? You mean like forecasting that it would drive up the costs? And this while Obama was telling us we can keep our insurance, we can keep our doctor, we will pay less, etc.
