For me there's no doubt. I went from being uninsured to being insured.
    No brainer there.

    Okay.

My current health care was none so I couldn't keep it.
I prefer having it which I DO now.

I have kept my doctor. Of course I really haven't had one for years. TRUTH!

My taxes haven't gone up. My insurance costs have.
I'm good with that along with millions of other Americans.

I haven't used my insurance yet and hope not to. I wonder if my insurance company likes that?

Hate to tell you this but even though my premiums have gone up they are cheaper than what I COULD have had that I couldn't afford.

Before you give me the old line "well you should have shopped for better insurance" and "find a better job" consider this.

I have looked for insurance and I like my job.

I get paid a decent wage but of course you don't know my medical history do you?

Did you ever think that maybe folks like myself will gladly pay insurance just to have it? When it's affordable that is.

I still have a deductible so I won't go running to a doctor every time I have the sniffles. However, if I get really sick like I did last year I will.

Last year I ended up in the hospital for three days. No insurance and I could have died.
I had time to think about the numbers and the end result might surprise and irritate you.

    Perhaps I'll share some day.

Eh, not here, and you already know why: They'll use it to personally attack you.

It's the same reason I stopped "sharing" my personal info. Although I don't regret it, as I knew full-well they'd use it against me, I don't intend to give them any more details...Takiji insists lol

Well lil Davy is a diabetic. He never seems to mention that a pre-existing condition like that would have prevented him from changing insurance companies before the ACA. He takes that little freedom for granted. He has very selective distain.

But that entirely by choice, right?

Your only medical condition is a strong aversion to hard work.

Oh, but I did change insurance prior to Obamacare so that kinda shoots a hole right through the left's silly little (and false) scare tactics. Now, if you continue believing these lies you are fed that's your problem.

Yes, I'm sure you did because insurance companies treat you special. Even though millions of people are denied coverage for per-existing conditions, you are special.

You can believe that if you want but I simply switched from my previous employers plan to my wife's group plan. My previous employer's long-time nisuance company exited the industry (because of Obamacare) and it was replaced by a carrier that offered less coverage for a much higher premium.
    Thanks BO!

That's even funnier than you first post. First of all, you said that you retired. So my guess is that your previous employer was no longer obligated to insure you since you don't work there anymore. And you are saying that a health insurance company stopped selling health insurance because the alternative was more expensive and covered less and of course that type of competition certainly kills your market share. So now you are on your wife's group plan as a dependent. Let me clue you into the truth. You were never forced to change insurance by anything other than quitting your job. Group insurance plans take all dependents. You never went out on the open market to tried and get insurance. You were conveniently covered by the wife. You obviously benefited from a spouse's job. Millions of people work jobs that do not provide health insurance and if they happen to have a pre-existing condition, they don't get to ride on their spouse's plan. Are you suggesting that they should just be screwed? Is your attitude, "I have mine, screw everyone else"? It certainly looks like it.

Is Clembo's attitude, "I got my insurance, it doesn't matter if anyone else is losing theirs"? It certainly looks like it.

Obligated? No but it was negotiated as part of my retirement pkg

    Umm, yeah: http://www.businesswire.com/news/ho...orn-Health-Plans-Leave-Market-Endorses-Anthem

...and a much higher premium on much less coverage!

You all didn't really talk about that too much though, did you?

Now, seeing how your entire far left narrative is full of holes and contradicted by the facts, don't you feel stupid???? It sucks to be you!

You can twist it that way David. As you are.

Here was my choice. I could pay my mortgage, utilities and food. Silly stuff like that.

Or I could have paid TWICE my mortgage for insurance.

Do you for some reason think that there are not a lot of people that made that same decision?

Why didn't you ask me Coin? That is not my view at all.

Insurance is and was available for everyone. The problem was affording it. I'm glad to have it but as I have mentioned I won't go running to the doctor every time I have the sniffles because I still have a deductible.

So what is your attitude? Or should I ask JoeNation?

Is it "well this guy has worked all his life but can't afford insurance so if he has the gall to get sick he should just die?"

I didn't want to ask you. See my response to JoeNation above as to why.

Then why bring it up Coin.

You and I can usually communicate so why bring my name into it?
