I hate to be the bearer of good news but not only did the ACA law reach its original goal of 7 million new sign ups the first year but it actually reached 8 million. I'm sure that they are just making numbers up. Again, we find ourselves having to say good news for the country and bad news for the GOP. Obamacare final enrollment hits 8 million 15 Hours Ago Getty Images People stand in the line to register to meet with Sunshine Life & Health Advisors, which is selling insurance under the Affordable Care Act at a store setup in the Mall of the Americas on March 31, 2014, in Miami. Enrollment in Obamacare reached 8 million, President Barack Obama announced Thursday afternoon. "This thing is working," Obama said, as he urged Republicans to drop their repeated efforts to repeal or substantially weaken the Affordable Care Act. "They were wrong about trying to repeal a low that is working, when they have no alternative." the president said. Tuesday was the last day most people in the U.S. could enroll in private Obamacare plans. The federal Obamacare exchange HealthCare.gov, which sells plans in 36 states, and most other state-run exchanges had allowed people who were "in line" to enroll as of the official March 31 deadline to sign up as late as Tuesday if they ran into problems completing their enrollments.
I can't remember a year when premiums didn't increase from one year to the next. But at least you found the dark cloud in the silver lining. Your ilk sort of excels at that.
Neither can I. That is premium increase #1 that all 8 million who enrolled through the exchange will face.
To quote Obama: "This law is working," Obama said. "This law won't solve all the problems in our health care system. We know we've got more work to do, but we now know for a fact that repealing the Affordable Care Act would increase the deficit, raise premiums for millions of Americans, and take insurance away from millions more." Again, sorry to be the bearer of good news.
And I repeat again and again ......... It is only the number of people who have set up an account. The number who have paid has not been released. The number who previously had insurance and were dropped because of Obamacare has not been released. In fact the number who have completed the sign up has not been released. In other words, the "8 million figure" is totally meaningless.
Heheheh.... 8 million. And you believe that, after all the lies that have been told? Oh well, let's say for a minute that the number really is 8 million. Now, I know you're not very good with numbers Little Joe, but of that 8 million, how many are replacement policies from people who had their insurance cancelled? Can you honestly count those? How many are paying? If they're not paying, you can't count them. It would be like placing an item in your Amazon.com basket but not hitting the "BUY" button. If you can't answer those questions, your "8 million" is just a fart in the wind.
Obamacare lies? You mean like the death panels? You mean like it was a job killer? You mean like it was going to raise the deficit? You mean like it was going to cause an insurance company death spiral? You mean like only old and sick people would sign up for health care? You mean like you won't be able to choose your own doctor? You mean like Congress is exempt from the new law? All these lies were told by the same people who also tried and failed to repeal the ACA 50 times. How many of those lies turned out to be true? ZERO POINT ZERO ZERO ZERO ZERO.... So believing anything you idiots say with the string of lies you have spewed would be as foolish as repealing the ACA for the 51st time...which I'm sure you idiots will get around to sooner than later.
Repeal and replace would be on the agenda for certain. Perhaps the Republicans will do exactly that once they gain the majority in the House AND the Senate after November and once Comrade Obama becomes a lame duck. So, back to the questions... How many of those 8 million had their policies cancelled and then subsequently applied for a policy through Obamacare? How many of those 8 million are paying? Can you answer either of those questions? I expect you'll dodge answering them and start with the ad hominem attacks. Begin your attack....... NOW!
I really don't need your permission to correct your bullshit. You have been proven liars again and again but all you do is accuse everyone else of lying and move on to the next lie. Lying isn't the worst thing a person can do, lying and pointing your finger at everyone else is worse by several degrees because you fail to even be cognizant of your own bullshit.
Well, I knew you would attack me with baseless accusations and I was proven correct, but I also thought you would at least TRY to answer the questions. At this point, I believe you either (a.) don't know how many people are paying, (b.) don't know how many people were previously insured or (c.) don't know shit about shit. I'm going with (c.)... at least until you provide answers.
He has no hope of answering such questions. Even if there were accurate answers out there, it would poke hole in his beloved Obamacare.
Indeed. I'm waiting for him to answer those two questions. He's repeated the administration's claim of "8 million" have signed up. However, if all 8 million of those had their insurance cancelled and were forced to sign up for an Obamacare policy, it would shoot down that 8 million figure. Of course, not all 8 million were in that boat; I would like Little Joe to tell us how many weren't. Can you do that, Little Joe? And while you're at it, please tell us how many have paid? Were all 8 million previously uninsured and have all 8 million paid? Or are they just in the Amazon.com shopping basket waiting to hit "BUY"?
Well, it doesn't look like JoeNation can answer those questions. Can anyone here answer them? Anyone?
But here is an exerp of one of his previous posts. Obviously he needs to read them a bit more closely.
Ummmmm.. no. Guess again: During testimony before the House Oversight Committee Thursday, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services administrator Marilyn Tavenner admitted that the White House's original number of eight million Obamacare enrollments was inflated. The real number, Tavenner now claims, is 7.3 million. September 19, 2014 Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) said the Obama administration's new numbers represent a "precipitous drop." Other Republicans, like Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX), also took aim at the administration's Obamacare revision. "For the past five months, the administration has been silent on enrollment details for the president's health care law, and now we know why: the number was going down," said Burgess. "Sadly, this comes as no surprise." Adding to the unpopular Obamacare program's woes, reports Investor's Business Daily, is the fact that "as many as 115,000 could lose their coverage this month because they haven't validated their citizenship or legal status. Another 360,000 or so could lose their Obamacare subsidies because of discrepancies over income, which will likely drive many of them to drop their now overpriced health plans." Obamacare remains unpopular nationally. According to the RealClearPolitics average of polls, just 41% of Americans approve of Obama's controversial healthcare overhaul. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Govern...amacare-Figures-Inflated-Revises-Down-700-000
