    "The percentage hit an all-time high of 20.2 percent in 2011. It held steady at 20 percent in in 2012 and 2013"

    Sooooo...using your line of reasoning (yeah, I know)...the economy crashed in '08 (blaming Bush) yet 3, 4 and 5 years later the percentage is still increasing? Is that an indication of an effective Presidency?

    Ah! Gee! I wonder if it had anything to do with who controlled Congress. Until Obama became IOC, Congress wrote the laws.

    You don't get it, do you? It's Bush's fault that 6 years after he left office the economy is worsening...right moron joe? One simply cannot believe BO is/was capable of fixing the economy, right moron joe?

    Yeah, I think we've had this conversation over and over and you refuse to learn. We've had umpteen months of job growth from the deepest recession since the great depression but rather than blame the guy that caused it you prefer to blame the guy fixing it. But of course, Obama Derangement Syndrome sufferers are just prone to stupid fits of idiocy.

    Gee, I didn't realize higher unemployment, falling wages and record numbers on gov't assistance was an indicator BO was "fixing" the economy! I guess the fix is in, huh?

    But I really do. I am back at "crash the economy".

    And, BTW, I love how this recession (which was NOT as deep as Reagan's) is all Bush's fault, but the Obamacare debacle is all the House's fault. Because;

    This statistic includes

    " (An elderly couple, in which both the husband and wife are retired, would count as a family in which no one held a job.)"

    Also keep baby boomers in mind when looking at the 1.2 % increase since 1995.
    "The BLS has been tracking data on employment in families since 1995. That year, the percent of families in which no one had a job was 18.8 percent. The percentage hit an all-time high of 20.2 percent in 2011. It held steady at 20 percent in in 2012 and 2013."

    Obamanomics under fire from GOP as economy slows to 0.1 percent growth rate

    April 30, 2014

    WASHINGTON – The U.S. economy slowed to an anemic pace in the first quarter of the year, according to new Commerce Department estimates, renewing Republican claims that Obama administration policies are slamming the brakes on the recovery.

    The department estimated that growth slowed to a barely discernible 0.1 percent annual rate between January and March. That was the weakest pace since the end of 2012 and was down from a 2.6 percent rate in the previous quarter.

    "This report is more than a low number; it is a reflection of the real economic despair that persists in the sixth year of the Obama presidency," said Brendan Buck, spokesman for House Speaker John Boehner.

    The slowdown, while worse than expected, is likely to be temporary as growth rebounds with warmer weather. The White House pointed to "historically severe winter weather" as a factor, and noted that these figures are subject to revision.

    But Republicans, who even before the report was released were hammering the administration over policies they claim are holding back job growth, said weather is not the only factor. They've long argued that a heavy regulatory hand, and various mandates attached to the Affordable Care Act, are hurting the economy.

    The question really should be, "Why ISN'T Obama under fire from the Democrats, too?" Everyone, conservative and liberal, are hurting in this economy. Are the Democrats afraid to speak out against Obama? Perhaps they're afraid to say anything too loudly this close to the mid-term elections.
